The girls in KPop Demon Hunters work together as a team, but each one fights in her own distinct way. For many generations, these Hunters have defended the world from demons by harnessing the energy of their fans – a mystical force called the Honmoon. HUNTR/X is the newest generation of Hunters, and they use both their musical abilities – singing and songwriting – and incredible martial arts skills to protect us.
The members of HUNTR/X are a powerful force when they collaborate, but each Demon Hunter has a unique fighting style that matches her personality and past. This makes the world of KPop Demon Hunters richer and more interesting. Here’s a look at how these three girls battle demons.
Rumi

Rumi is a highly skilled and seasoned Demon Hunter, known for her elegant and precise fighting style. She’s the daughter of Mi-yeong Ryu, a member of the original group of Hunters known as the Sunlight Sisters, before the formation of HUNTR/X. After her mother’s early death, Rumi was raised and trained by Celine, another member of the Sunlight Sisters. Celine devoted herself to Rumi’s development, which accounts for her remarkably efficient combat skills – every movement is purposeful and her attacks are swift and deadly.
Rumi is incredibly fast and agile, moving quicker than her teammates and even able to stop someone from teleporting. Her main weapon is a special, ancient sword called a Sain-geom, or “Four Tiger Sword,” which she can summon whenever she needs it. She’s a powerful fighter, capable of defeating demons with a single blow, creating strong shockwaves, and briefly defending against even the most powerful attacks, like those from Gwi-Ma.
Mira

Mira is a powerful, close-combat fighter who relies on strength and isn’t afraid to use whatever’s at hand, making her fighting style wild and unpredictable. She wields a Gok-do, a uniquely shaped, curved sword, and has developed a fighting style that maximizes its reach. Despite her raw power, her movements are surprisingly graceful and balanced, reflecting the skill needed to control such a weapon.
Zoey

Zoey is the youngest of the group and clearly loves a fight, as shown by her enthusiastic participation in the opening plane battle. She uses special throwing weapons called Shin-kal, or “Spirit Blades,” to take down enemies from afar. Her fighting style is quick and acrobatic, probably inspired by jujitsu, letting her jump, flip, and even climb walls while attacking. However, she’s also very skilled in hand-to-hand combat and grappling when the fight gets close.
I’m really excited about this new game, and I want to hear what everyone else thinks! Let’s chat about it over on the ComicBook Forum – come join the discussion and share your thoughts!
