As a huge animation fan, I’ve been following the incredible success of KPop Demon Hunters. It’s already smashed so many records and become Netflix’s most-watched animated movie ever, which is amazing enough. But even now, weeks after it came out, it’s still making waves! It’s just broken another major Netflix record, and honestly, the numbers behind it are absolutely mind-blowing.
Netflix recently shared data about its most popular movies from the latter half of 2025. Topping the list at number one was KPop Demon Hunters, outperforming films like Happy Gilmore 2 and Frankenstein. Remarkably, KPop Demon Hunters garnered 482 million views – nearly as many as the combined total of the next five most-watched movies, which only reached 481 million views.

It’s amazing how well KPop Demon Hunters did, especially considering it jumped to the top spot from its previous film. With 135 million views, it significantly outperformed other titles like Frankenstein, which has 98 million views. It’s no exaggeration to say KPop Demon Hunters was a huge success.
KPop Demon Hunters Continues To Make An Impact Across The Industry

The film is a big hit for Netflix and has quickly become influential in the movie industry. It’s already won two Golden Globes – for Best Animated Motion Picture and Best Song – and is now up for awards at the Academy Awards in the same categories. Experts predict it will likely win at least one, and possibly both, of these prestigious awards, adding to its already impressive list of accolades.
The film KPop Demon Hunters is receiving a lot of attention for its music, and has earned five Grammy nominations. Its song, Golden, is up for Song of the Year, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, Best Song Written For Visual Media, and Best Remixed Recording. The film itself is also nominated for Best Compilation Soundtrack For Visual Media.
The future looks bright for this franchise! A sequel is already planned, though fans will have to wait until 2029 to see it. To keep excitement high, we can expect new merchandise in stores soon, and hopefully some smaller animated content to tide us over until the movie arrives. Overall, this is fantastic news – the franchise is set to expand and become even more popular.
KPop Demon Hunters is now streaming on Netflix.
