Huntr/x are still goin’ up, up, up around the world.
The singers behind the Netflix film *KPop Demon Hunters* – EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami – recently talked about some of their most memorable experiences with fans, following the film’s success around the world.
EJAE, 33, shared a recent experience on *The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon* from their October 7th appearance. Despite wearing a mask and hat, fans recognized them on a flight. The entire flight crew came to their seat to say hello!
That wasn’t the only memorable fan experience she had. EJAE, who plays the lead singer Rumi, also shared that she saw what she believed to be a ghost while recording her part on the hit song “Golden,” which is currently still at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
She explained that the sound system wasn’t working, and usually the assistant engineer, Sully, would fix it. She heard someone walk in – footsteps and the door opening – and the sound immediately came back on. She called out, thinking it was Sully, but when she looked up, no one was there. For a brief moment, she saw a tall man wearing a flannel shirt and blue jeans walking towards her.
Her fellow group members experienced adventures focused on international travel, rather than the supernatural. Shortly after the release of *KPop Demon Hunters* in August, Audrey, who sang Mira’s songs in the movie, had a memorable experience of her own in Korea.
I was at Dongdaemun station when I saw this adorable older man performing “Golden” on a traditional Korean instrument,” the 26-year-old said. “He had a really cool style, and his outfit was amazing. I was honestly surprised because it’s a big deal in Korean culture when someone older shows they approve of you.”
The singer of “Paper” pointed out that older people tend to be very critical when offering praise.
“So to see them embrace it is something different,” she continued. “So different.”
Meanwhile, Rei, 30, saw a similar musical show when she was shopping in H Mart in Los Angeles.
The singer recounted walking into a room and hearing a five-year-old boy enthusiastically singing “Golden,” beaming and holding his mother’s hand. They were so surprised, they immediately wondered how such a young child could have picked that particular song.

She said that moment really showed how much their fans were loving the song.
Rei shared, “Hearing our song on the radio is one thing, but hearing a child sing it live? It actually made me tear up.”
I’m really hoping we get to see more of Huntr/x! I’ve been a huge fan since the beginning, and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the team decides to make a sequel – I’m desperate to see them continue their demon hunting adventures on the big screen.
EJAE hinted at potential news, telling TopMob News on September 7th, “Stay tuned. You never know!” Audrey chimed in, expressing their eagerness to hear back: “We’re also waiting for the call.”
Rei said the cast hasn’t received any updates yet, but promised to share information as soon as it becomes available.
