Kristen Stewart has expressed interest in revisiting the Twilight series, though she wouldn’t reprise her role as Bella Swan.
The actor recently directed her first film, The Chronology of Water, but she first became well-known after starring in the 2008 vampire movie adapted from the bestselling Stephenie Meyer book series.
Kristen Stewart recently told Entertainment Tonight she’d be thrilled to direct a new Twilight movie, praising the work of the original directors – Catherine Hardwicke, Chris Weitz, and all the others who helmed the films.
You know, what I loved about them was how genuinely them they were, even back then. They were a little quirky, a bit all over the place, but totally living in the moment. It was before anyone really knew who they were going to become, before they got famous, and it was just… special.
She admitted she’d love to revisit the project if she had more resources and support. She confirmed she’s on board with a remake and fully committed to making it happen.
Kristen Stewart became famous for her role in the Twilight movies, where she acted alongside Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. While she had previously appeared in films like Panic Room and Speak as a young actress, it was Twilight that truly made her a star.

The actress starred in several films including Charlie’s Angels, The Runaways, Snow White and The Huntsman, Lizzie, Love Lies Bleeding, and Spencer, earning an Oscar nomination for her work in the last. In 2025, she made her directorial debut with The Chronology of Water, a film based on Lidia Yuknavitch’s memoir, and featuring Imogen Poots.
The Twilight Saga movies, released between 2008 and 2012, earned over $3 billion worldwide, making it the most successful vampire movie series of all time.
