Kyle Cooke Has Surprising Comment on West Wilson’s Summer House Return

Kyle Cooke is ready for summer to be fun again.

The Summer House star is really ready to put the drama with his soon-to-be ex-wife, Amanda Batula, and her connection with his former best friend, West Wilson, behind him. He’s even considering having them both return for season 11 of the show.

In a recent interview with People magazine, Kyle shared his hopes for a peaceful future. While he admits he hasn’t fully forgiven [West], he doesn’t want to cut someone who was important to him out of his life, believing life is too short to hold onto grudges.

Okay, so everyone’s all about this new couple, and honestly, it’s still throwing me for a loop! I mean, the guy who created the show – it’s wild to think he’s still trying to process it. He’s probably sitting there like, ‘Wait, they are together?’ It’s just… a lot to take in, even for me, and I follow everything!

“I’m doing this the best that I can,” Kyle added. “There’s no playbook.”

After the dramatic Summer House reunion aired on June 9th, Bravo announced a follow-up special, Aftermath, on June 16th. The special will feature updates on the fallout between West and Amanda, as well as Kyle and West’s former girlfriend, Ciara Miller, who ended her friendship with Amanda because of the situation.

Kyle described West as appearing defensive rather than truly sorry during their three conversations. However, a later private discussion with the journalist was a little more helpful in resolving their problems.

Kyle shared that he’d finally gotten someone to admit things he needed to hear. He was disappointed that the person hadn’t been fully honest, continuing to be untruthful about his girlfriend, Meija Moreno, and whether their relationship was exclusive, which Kyle found very confusing.

However, it sounds like some more accountability may be needed on West’s part.

He said the conversation left him feeling confused. “I honestly don’t know what we spent two and a half hours discussing,” he admitted. “I don’t think we went around in circles, but I probably should have challenged him more.”

Kyle confessed he’s still puzzled by his wife’s decision to start a relationship with a coworker after they separated in January, especially since she didn’t choose someone from outside their circle of friends.

Kyle believes West isn’t naive and figured out Amanda was about to get a lot of positive media attention. He thinks West realized this last summer, which is why he’s trying to get closer to her. Kyle suspects West wants to position himself as Amanda’s defender, hoping to benefit from the public’s likely support of her.

As for his own love life, Kyle isn’t looking to jump into anything serious at the moment.

As someone who’s constantly on the go, let me tell you, finding time for dating can be tough! Right now, my travel schedule is just too packed to realistically meet someone locally in New York. Honestly, I’m enjoying this period of freedom and focusing on work and adventures. So, yeah, I’m definitely embracing the single life this summer – my calendar is completely full, and there’s just no room for dating right now.
