Kyle Cooke Slams West Wilson Over Amanda Batula Relationship

Kyle Cooke isn’t feeling the love with West Wilson.

As a longtime fan of Summer House, I was really struck by how Kyle reacted after Amanda confirmed she was dating Kyle. It was tough to watch, knowing how close they used to be, and he’s been understandably processing everything that’s happened to their friendship since then.

I’m still trying to figure out how to deal with the situation with West,” he explained in a TikTok video with journalist Adam Glyn on April 2nd. “Many people don’t realize how close we used to be, and it feels like a real betrayal.

He ended our friendship really quickly, and I don’t understand where the loyalty went,” he said. “What happened to looking out for each other?

Kyle, who split from Amanda after four years of marriage in January, criticized West for getting involved in their argument on the March 31st episode of the show. This came after Kyle had a drunken argument with Amanda on the previous episode, during which he used harsh language towards her, and West then confronted him about his behavior.

He told Adam that West is skilled at understanding his audience and knows exactly how to appeal to women. People are impressed by what seems like a positive change in West’s behavior, but it’s clear he’s intentionally trying to improve his image and gain support.

“I don’t need to be kicked by the dude on the show,” he added. “The female audience is going to drag me, as they should. I didn’t need him to pile on like that.”

Loverboy creator, 42, responded to comments made by 31-year-old West—who previously dated fellow cast member Ciara Miller—during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live.

Kyle explained that she’s bothered by a guy who seems to always know what to say to impress people. She feels West intentionally created an image of himself as a protector of women, like when he defended Amanda and confronted her. Seeing that, and then hearing him repeat his claims both privately and on Watch What Happens, made her suspicious that something wasn’t right.

After a heated argument with Amanda, 33, Kyle claimed that West deliberately intervened.

He started associating with Amanda when she was really improving her life, and his remarks just made me look bad in comparison. I admit I muttered something awful, and I regret it. I did apologize, but I didn’t deserve to be confronted by another contestant who has a history of problematic behavior towards women.

As for how Kyle feels about Amanda?

I’m being understanding with Amanda because she’s clearly going through a difficult time emotionally. Right now, her well-being is my priority, not figuring out what happened. I don’t believe West can provide the support she needs right now.
