For nearly twenty years, viewers have followed the Kardashian-Jenner family’s lives through their reality shows, including the recently premiered Season 7 of The Kardashians. Even knowing a lot about what goes on behind the scenes, I was still surprised by the incredible amount of work involved in creating just one of their videos.

Khloé Kardashian and Kylie Jenner created a fun video for social media where they lip-synced to a popular remix of Nicki Minaj’s “Beez in the Trap” and 4 Non Blondes’ “What’s Up?” The video shows them standing back-to-back, and a reflection reveals the whole production team—cameras, lights, and crew—working to capture the TikTok trend.

Kylie Jenner and Khloé Kardashian were filming in Khloé’s podcast studio – the same space where she records her show, Khloé in Wonder Land. It looked like a full production, with at least three cameras, a microphone hanging overhead, and bright lights focused on them as they made a lip-sync video. There was even a cameraman positioned by the door, possibly shooting footage for the next season of The Kardashians.

I’ve watched this video countless times, fascinated by all the details visible in the mirror’s reflection. Beyond the crew and equipment, it’s worth noting that the two reality TV sisters are fully made up with glamorous makeup and are wearing matching black outfits.

It’s not really surprising how much effort goes into even a simple TikTok trend, considering these families reach hundreds of millions of followers and can earn millions of dollars from a single sponsored post. After growing up on camera, having multiple people film them constantly probably just feels natural.

It’s always entertaining when something from the Kardashian-Jenners goes viral, but I’m constantly surprised by the incredible amount of effort they put into everything. It really highlights how tiring it must be to live their lives.
