Kylie Kelce Reveals Jason Kelce Already Changed Name of Their Puppy

Kylie Kelce is having a ruff time settling on a name for her and Jason Kelce’s dog.

Just two days after announcing they’d gotten a German Shepherd puppy named Bernadette, the host of the Not Gonna Lie podcast revealed that her husband has already renamed the dog.

On her podcast, Kylie revealed she recently adopted a German Shepherd puppy. She jokingly shared that her partner, Jason, had the final say on the puppy’s name, and it ended up being something other than Bernadette, as they’d initially discussed.

The 34-year-old also timidly shared the pup’s new name, adding, “Her name is Matilda… We think.”

Oh my gosh, Kylie and Jason – seriously, the cutest parents ever! – are trying to name their fifth baby, and it’s killing me with anticipation! They already have Wyatt, Bennett, Elliotte, and little Finnley, plus their adorable dog Patricia, and they almost picked the most amazing, unique name! Kylie let slip they were considering something totally out there before landing on what they’ve got now. I’m dying to know what it was!

Kylie said, keeping a straight face, “Broomhilda was a real possibility.” She clarified, “I’m not joking. Jason genuinely believed we were considering naming our dog Broomhilda.”

She asked people to consider what it was like raising four children with a former NFL player, saying, “I want people to think about that before they criticize our kids’ names, because this is the family I have.”

Kylie said Elliotte and Bennett are really happy about the new baby, but her other children don’t seem to feel the same way.

“Wyatt couldn’t care less,” she added. “And Finny has no f–king clue what’s happening.”

In an episode of Kylie’s digital series, FAFO, she shared that she and Jason didn’t initially agree on getting a dog when they first considered adopting.

She revealed on the March 31st episode that Jason was aware she was visiting. They had talked about her potentially bringing home a pet, and he jokingly said he’d be extremely upset – giving a ‘10 out of 10’ on a scale of annoyance.

She also pointed out that the judge couldn’t tell which dog she preferred, meaning she and the dog could potentially be a good match. She’s hoping to find out by the end of the show if she’ll be going home with a new furry companion.

Jason apparently changed his mind, and Kylie had to go back to the animal shelter after six weeks to film a completely different ending for the show.

She explained she was at the shelter hoping to choose a puppy. Jason had agreed to let her get one, but only if he got to name it, so she was curious what name he’d pick.

Jason and Kylie Kelce had their first child, a daughter named Wyatt Elizabeth Kelce, in October 2019.

Their second daughter Elliotte Ray Kelce joined the family two years later.

A year after Elliotte was born, Kylie announced she was expecting another baby, sharing a sweet photo to reveal the news.

The couple had their third child in February 2023, just a couple of weeks after Jason played against his brother, Travis Kelce, in the 2023 Super Bowl.

In May 2023, Jason posted on Instagram a photo of his oldest daughters with a large trophy, expressing his disbelief and excitement: “I never imagined I’d be holding the Larry O’Brien trophy, especially not in my own home!”

“Unbelievable honor to see it in person,” he continued. “The size is incredible, looks so small when NBA players are holding it, but it’s actually massive!! The girls were very interested in it.”

I was so excited to see the whole family out on the field in August 2023! Kylie perfectly summed it up in her Instagram post – it was all about enjoying Rita’s Italian Ice and running those fun obstacle courses with their dad after practice. It was such a sweet moment!

I was so thrilled to see Jason and Kylie throw Wyatt the most amazing fourth birthday party! It was in October 2023, and they held it right on the Eagles’ home field – how cool is that? Kylie shared on Instagram that it was extra special because the Eagles were also 4-0 at the time. It felt like everything just aligned for a perfect celebration!

In June 2024, Kylie posted a photo on Instagram of her children, Wyatt, Elliotte, and Bennett, with the caption, “Parents get it—two out of three isn’t bad!”

Jason’s mother, Donna Kelce, shared a sweet message, calling her grandchildren a ‘cute and beautiful bunch of lucky charms’ under a rainbow!
