Kylie Minogue knows a thing or two about the life of a showgirl. 

Taylor Swift hasn’t released her twelfth album yet, but she was leading such a lively life when she began her “Showgirl: The Greatest Hits Tour” in 2005, and she’s really enjoying all the comparisons made to her.

Oh, the joy when friends keep sharing their ‘Showgirl’ memes with me! It just goes to show how rich and multifaceted ‘Showgirl life’ truly is, transcending beyond feathers and glamour.” (I’ve made this statement in the first person as a dedicated follower.)

The 57-year-old also conveyed warm greetings to Taylor as she begins this new phase in her life. Moreover, he showed respect and admiration towards all his fellow dedicated Showgirls.

Kylie’s heartfelt homage to her time as a showgirl emerges following Taylor’s announcement of The Life of a Showgirl, which she discussed with her boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce on the August 13 episode of New Heights.

During the show, Taylor mentioned that while she was traveling with the Eras Tour in Europe, she was simultaneously working on something. Her schedule involved performing multiple shows in a row, followed by several days off. On her free days, she would travel to different countries like Sweden, and then return to the tour.

During her 2024 tour, Taylor found solace and motivation in the process of creating her album alongside long-time collaborators Max Martin and Shellback, as she put it.

Travis added, “Literally living the life of a showgirl.”

The inspiration was about going “behind the curtain” of the Eras Tour.

She went on to say, “The enthusiasm and exuberance you hear on this album stemmed directly from a highly joyful, unbridled, theatrical phase of my life, which is why it feels so lively.

During her leisure time from the tour, Taylor collaborated with renowned producers Max Martin and Shellback in Sweden to develop catchy tunes, among them being the title track featuring Sabrina Carpenter who kicked off the Eras Tour.

Besides “The Life of a Showgirl,” the collection will also include “The Destiny of Ophelia,” “Elizabeth Taylor’s Story,” “Opalite’s Tale,” “Paternal Figure,” “Eldest Daughter’s Journey,” “Sabotage of Friendship,” “True Romance,” “Wishlist,” “Timber,” and “Cancellation!” or “Honey.

The football player complimented her twelve songs by calling them “hits,” indicating that he has listened to all of them. On the other hand, Jason has yet to listen to any of them, but jokingly expressed his intention to acquire the album before its release on October 3rd.
