La Toya Jackson is checking in.
The singer of “Nighttime Lover” recently visited a doctor, but she hasn’t shared the details about why.
In a recent Instagram video posted on November 7th, La Toya shared that she was back at the doctor’s office. ‘I’m hoping everything goes well and my results are good,’ she said while sitting in an examination room. She wished her followers a great day.
The 69-year-old didn’t specify why she needed to see a doctor or what tests she’d undergone.
Three days later, she shared another update on her health in a new Instagram video. She said, “Can you guess where I am this Monday morning? Yep, back at that place again.”
She added, in a video from November 10th, with a lighthearted shrug, “Oh well. Have a great week, everyone!”
Captioning the post, La Toya emphasized that she was “sending love, hugs and light to you all!”
She added, “Have a positive prosperous enjoyable week.”
TopMob News reached out to a rep for La Toya for comment but has not heard back.
I’ve noticed La Toya’s been pretty private about going to the doctor, which is understandable. But lately, she’s shared a few peeks into how busy and active she is, and it’s great to see! It really shows she’s prioritizing her health and well-being, and I’m happy she’s letting us in on that a little bit.
Just under two months before sharing news about her health, the Grammy-winning singer – sister to Janet and the late Michael Jackson – posted a video showing her at a cooking class. She was celebrating the birthday of her friend, Brenda Collins.
As a frequent traveler, I totally get it – sometimes getting proper rest feels impossible! La Toya recently shared she was having that exact problem during a long travel day, and honestly, it’s something so many of us can relate to.

She shared on Instagram on September 2nd that even after being awake for two days, she couldn’t fall asleep on the plane, posting a video from her first-class seat and asking if anyone else could relate.

Nikki Bella, known from Total Bellas, shared that one of her breast implants moved after being hit during the elbow of WWE wrestler Piper Niven in a match that took place in July 2025.
I remember telling my sister, Bella, that everything would be alright. I was fresh out of a divorce and explained to my doctor that as soon as my career slowed down – when I ‘hung up my boots,’ so to speak – I’d be back to address a certain… cosmetic issue. I was determined to get it fixed, because I knew I’d want to look my best when I was ready for the next chapter, and it just couldn’t stay the way it was!

Lupita Nyong’o, known for her role in 12 Years a Slave, received a diagnosis of uterine fibroids—non-cancerous growths in or around the uterus—in 2014, the same year she won an Academy Award for her performance in the film.
She didn’t share her diagnosis until 2025, when she revealed on Instagram that she had been privately struggling with the condition for over ten years.
She explained that growing up, many of us are told to expect pain with our periods and to accept it as a normal part of being female. This often leaves us dealing with a common issue in silence and feeling isolated.

In July 2025, the actress from Daisy Jones & The Six revealed she was hospitalized for a hernia. This happened because she had been wearing pants that were too tight, which caused a gap to form in her abdominal muscles.
Someone messaged Suki on X (formerly Twitter) asking why she hadn’t tweeted recently. Suki jokingly replied that she’d been hiding a serious injury – a hernia caused by wearing very tight pants six months ago – and was afraid to mention it.

The former star of Beverly Hills, 90210 shared in April 2025 that he was recovering from surgery because his appendix was close to rupturing.

He added, “I’m on the road to recovery. It’s not an easy process. This is my first major surgery.”

During a soccer game against the Seattle Reign on September 14th at Lumen Field in Seattle, a midfielder for Racing Louisville collapsed after only a few minutes of play.
According to Reuters, the U.S. Women’s National Team player was seen slowly sitting down on the field with a teammate supporting her, before suddenly collapsing. Trainers were immediately called to assess her condition.
After receiving immediate medical attention on the field, Savannah was taken to a nearby hospital for more tests. League officials reported later that she is in stable condition and fully conscious.

Adam Devine revealed that injuries from being hit by a cement truck at age 11 continue to cause him problems even now.
I was absolutely devastated hearing Devine talk about it on Graham Bensinger’s podcast in 2025. He said it’s been a total nightmare – he’s been having spasms everywhere. And can you believe it? The doctors actually told him he was dying – like, seriously, within the last year! It just breaks my heart to think about what he’s been going through.
He explained that his pain is intermittent, saying his body has some minor imperfections and doesn’t always function as expected.

A former contestant on The Bachelor had to be hospitalized after experiencing severe back pain. He described having to crawl to get help, and said the pain worsened during a recent road trip with a friend.
He described a strange sensation, saying, ‘My knees to toes are still tingly, which is really odd.’ Speaking on his Trading Secrets podcast in March 2025, he explained that just a few weeks or a month prior, he was able to squat 295 pounds. Now, he can’t even do a squat, struggles with single-leg squats, and often falls over, comparing the feeling to having had a stroke.
But with the help of a back specialist and some steroids, he added, “We’re on the mend.”

In February 2025, the former Even Stevens star revealed she was shot in the face during a birthday celebration for her husband, Brendan Rooney. They were on a trip to go clay pigeon shooting when the incident occurred.
According to her Instagram post, she was accidentally shot in the face by someone at a party who fired a gun unsafely. She said @thebrendanrooney quickly helped her and took her to the hospital. She was hit five times, and one bullet narrowly missed her right eye, coming within an inch of hitting her directly.
The former Kim Possible star shared that a small piece of something got stuck behind their eye. Doctors have advised against removing it with surgery right now, and they’ll be keeping a close watch on the situation, but thankfully, their vision is currently normal.
The actress expressed immense gratitude for surviving a frightening experience. She shared how much she cherishes her daughters, husband, family, and friends, explaining that she realized how precious life is. She urged everyone to hug their loved ones often, because things can change so quickly.

Amy Schumer is grateful for the internet, despite its often negative side, because it helped her discover a health issue. After noticing she looked “puffier” and receiving critical comments online, doctors began commenting on interviews, suggesting she might have Cushing syndrome due to high cortisol levels or steroid injections. This prompted Amy to realize she’d been receiving steroid injections following a breast reduction and C-section. She was diagnosed with Cushing syndrome, a condition she wouldn’t have known about without the online feedback. Amy recently shared that she’s relieved to learn her condition will resolve on its own and that she is healthy, calling it the best news she could have received.

In December 2024, an AHL player suffered a skate cut during a game and needed 25 stitches to close the wound. After his son fully recovered, New Jersey Devils General Manager Tom Fitzgerald told ESPN, “We feel very fortunate. No parent should have to go through that.”

In March 2022, Hailey Bieber experienced a frightening health scare while having breakfast with her husband, Justin Bieber. She suddenly developed stroke-like symptoms, initially unable to respond when Justin asked if she was alright. She then realized she couldn’t speak and the right side of her face began to droop.
Although the symptoms eventually subsided, Hailey went to the hospital where tests revealed she’d had a small blood clot travel to her brain, which doctors identified as a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack).
Further testing at UCLA discovered a hole in her heart called a patent foramen ovale (PFO). This hole allowed the blood clot to travel from her heart to her brain, causing the TIA.
Hailey successfully underwent a procedure to close the PFO and is now recovering well.

The same year Hailey faced a health issue, Justin also experienced one. In June 2022, he revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which caused temporary paralysis on one side of his face. This forced him to cancel the remaining dates of his Justice World Tour.
In a video posted to Instagram, Justin explained the condition affected the nerves in his ear and face, preventing him from blinking, smiling, or moving his nostril on the affected side. He also mentioned it became increasingly difficult for him to eat.
Fortunately, the paralysis eventually went away. Hailey shared on Good Morning America that Justin was recovering well, calling the situation scary but assuring everyone he would be completely fine and was grateful he was on the mend.

As many of you know, Jamie Foxx faced a really tough health battle earlier this year, and he’s finally shared what happened. He described having a terrible headache one day while in Atlanta, and before he could even take an aspirin, he lost consciousness. He actually doesn’t remember the next 20 days! Initially, a doctor gave him a cortisone shot and sent him home, but thankfully his sister, Deidra, noticed something was seriously wrong and insisted on taking him to the hospital. It turned out he’d experienced a brain bleed that led to a stroke. After surgery, he woke up on May 4th in a wheelchair, unable to walk. He then spent time in Chicago focusing on rehab and therapy to regain his strength. He’s incredibly grateful for all the prayers and support he received, saying he truly needed every single one. It’s a powerful reminder to cherish your health and the people who care for you.

The reality TV star said she briefly stopped breathing while running in the first challenge of the NBC competition show, describing the experience as feeling like ‘dying’.
She shared on the show Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser that her memory of the event was fragmented. She recalled hearing a helicopter, feeling like she was floating, and then seeing her grandfather. After that, she remembered only darkness, followed by light, leading her to realize she had died that day.
She explained that her organs were failing. She hadn’t known she had rhabdomyolysis, a condition where the body essentially begins to shut down.

Emilia Clarke, known for her role in Game of Thrones, revealed a harrowing health battle in a 2019 essay for The New Yorker. While filming the show, she experienced a sudden, severe headache while at the gym. She described collapsing and being violently ill, realizing something was seriously wrong with her brain.
A hospital scan quickly revealed she had suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage, a life-threatening stroke caused by a ruptured aneurysm. She immediately underwent surgery to repair it, but the pain was excruciating. During her recovery, she struggled with aphasia, leaving her unable to speak coherently.
Though she was discharged after a month, a 2013 scan revealed the aneurysm had grown and required a second surgery. This procedure was unsuccessful, leading to a massive bleed and a dire prognosis. Doctors had to perform a more invasive surgery, accessing her brain directly through her skull.
Fortunately, Emilia reports she has now made a full recovery and is at 100%.

Shailene Woodley struggled with significant health issues throughout her 20s. In a September 2024 podcast interview, she explained that she experienced hearing loss, debilitating fatigue, and severe stomach pain. She saw many doctors who offered conflicting diagnoses, leaving her feeling lost.
Drawing on her background in herbalism and holistic health, Shailene sought answers by combining traditional medical care with alternative healing methods. This search for well-being lasted for a decade.
She explained that the physical discomfort led to anxieties around food and, eventually, to issues with body image and a sense of self. After years of addressing both her physical and mental health, Shailene is now feeling much better and considers herself very healthy. She’s grateful to be in a good place.
