Laguna Beach’s Kristin Cavallari Celebrates 20th High School Reunion

The stars of Laguna Beach went back to the beginning.

Kristin Cavallari, Jason Wahler, and Alex Hosser – now known as Lauren Olsen – recently got together for their 20th high school reunion at Laguna Beach on November 30th.

The group, including Kristin Cavallari, Stephen Colletti, and Dieter Schmitz, looked happy together in a photo booth picture with Stephen’s wife, Ashley Wahler, and classmate Brittany Field. Another photo showed Cavallari, Olsen, and Field sharing a sunflower garland and red heart-shaped sunglasses.

“20 years!!” Olsen captioned the Instagram post. “Thank you @lbhs05class for making this happen!!”

This isn’t the first time the cast has gotten back together, and they’re planning another reunion next year. Kristin Cavallari and Stephen Olsen will be joined by Lauren Conrad, Lo Bosworth, Talan Torriero, Trey Phillips, Christina Schuller, Dieter Schmitz, and Jessica Smith for the special.

Kristin Cavallari recently hinted on her podcast, Let’s Be Honest, that she’s unsure what details she can share. She also admitted that while the process was helpful, she wasn’t initially eager to participate.

Although she’s glad she did.

Oh my gosh, it was AMAZING! She said it herself, and honestly, it felt like the perfect way to wrap up everything Laguna Beach – like a beautiful full circle moment. And thinking about her kids – Camden, Jaxon, and little Saylor – being a part of it just makes it even sweeter. I’m seriously obsessed with everything she does!

Plus, it was another opportunity to wash away her feud with Conrad.

Looking back, we were so young when our relationships were played with like that,” she explained to Bustle in 2024, referring to the dynamic between herself, Conrad, and Colletti. “I’m not upset about it, though. I’m really grateful for the show. It’s complicated – I can both feel like we were exploited, and appreciate everything it gave us.

Let’s take a look at what the cast of Laguna Beach is up to now that they’ve grown up since high school.

It’s pretty funny that Lisa Love from Teen Vogue told Lauren Conrad she’d forever be known as the girl who skipped the Paris trip – a line actually borrowed from Vogue‘s Anna Wintour, as discovered in a 2019 look back at The Hills.

Over a decade since that controversial choice and her breakup with Jason Wahler, Lauren has achieved a lot more. She’s a New York Times bestselling author, co-founded The Little Market to support female artisans, and has built a successful lifestyle brand, starting with her Kohl’s line, LC Lauren Conrad.

She’s moved on from the drama of Les Deux and married musician and lawyer William Tell in a dreamy Pinterest-worthy wedding in 2014. They now have two sons: Liam James Tell and Charlie Wolf Tell, who was born in October 2019.

Kristin Cavallari has successfully transitioned from reality TV star to businesswoman with her lifestyle brand, Uncommon James, which opened its fourth store in Charleston in 2024. She’s also launched a shoe line with Chinese Laundry and authored three cookbooks. After a decade together, she and former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler welcomed three children – sons Camden Jack and Jaxon Wyatt, and daughter Saylor James – before divorcing in April 2020.

Following a split from Mark Estes in September 2024, she’s re-entered the dating scene. In a 2023 interview with TopMob News, she explained she’s been on many dates but doesn’t have time for dishonesty or games, stating, ‘I just think it’s because I don’t have time for bullst anymore.’

Jason Wahler, known for his rebellious behavior on reality shows like Laguna Beach and The Hills, faced numerous problems after his time on television, including drug use, DUIs, and legal troubles. He finally got help when he appeared on Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew Pinsky.

Jason later married Ashley Slack, and credits their relationship with helping him stay sober. They have three children: daughter Delilah Ray (born August 2017), son Wyatt Ragle (born June 2021), and son August Robert (born May 2025). As the founder of Widespread Recovery, Jason continues to share his experiences with addiction, both on The Hills: New Beginnings and through his YouTube series, JAWS Diaries with Jason & Ashley Wahler.

Now living in Nashville, Jason has reconnected with Kristen, becoming close friends after moving to Tennessee. He explained that they had grown apart due to their separate lives and priorities, but she has been a supportive friend throughout his recovery.

After fueling fan fiction about a love triangle with Kristin and Stephen, actor Laguna is now concentrating on his acting career. He was a regular on The CW’s One Tree Hill for five seasons and appeared as Taylor Swift’s love interest in her “White Horse” music video. He also briefly worked as a VJ on the original Total Request Live. More recently, he starred in the 2018 TV movie Hometown Christmas and Hulu’s Everyone Is Doing Great alongside his former One Tree Hill co-star James Lafferty.

As for his relationship with podcast co-host Kristin, it’s over. Stephen proposed to NASCAR Reporter Alex Weaver in November 2023. He told TopMob News in 2024 that they’re enjoying being engaged while also planning the wedding details.

The newlyweds chose a simple and elegant way to announce their marriage, sharing a photo on Instagram with the caption “Mr. & Mrs.” on October 3, 2025.

For years, Lauren Conrad made it clear she didn’t want to revisit her time on The Hills. She recalled emphatically telling a producer, “Absolutely not!” when asked about returning, and stated she wanted no connection with anyone from the show, craving distance from that part of her life.

After changing careers and moving to New York City, where she graduated from the International Culinary Center and later authored The Lo-Down, she founded Love Wellness, a line of personal care products for women, in 2016.

In a 2024 interview, she explained that while she isn’t in constant contact with her former castmates – noting it’s been 20 years – she remains friendly with everyone and would happily greet them.

Lauren recently married businessman Domenic “Dom” Natale in a small Laguna Beach wedding in July 2025, and the couple is expecting their first child in 2026.

She shared with TopMob that she’s built the life she always wanted, achieved her goals, and now prioritizes maintaining her happiness, health, family, and relationships with loved ones.

Before settling down, Talan Torriero had short-term relationships with K.Cav, Kimberly Stewart, and Nicole Scherzinger, all of which received public attention. He met his future wife, Danielle Torriero, at a Los Angeles bar on her 21st birthday in 2009.

They later moved from California to Danielle’s home state of Nebraska, where they are building a house on a nearly one-acre property. The couple married in June 2014 and have three children: Bronson, born in October 2017, Hudson, born in December 2020, and Anderson Tito, born in June 2023.

Recalling their first encounter, Talan told TopMob News, “I immediately wondered who she was! We started talking, and she mentioned she was from Nebraska. I didn’t even know where that was, but now, 14 years later, here I am, living there.”

That first runway show was just the beginning for Trey. After leaving Laguna, he moved to New York City to attend Parsons School of Design, graduating in 2010 with a degree in fashion design and renewable energy. He stayed in New York, working as an associate designer at Vera Wang, and also spent time in London.

In 2023, he founded Motion Illustrated, sharing on his website that after over a decade of designing for major fashion brands, he wanted to showcase his own style. He generally keeps a low profile on social media, though he occasionally shares photos of his partner, Kasumi.

Lauren and Stephen’s close friend pursued his dream of a career in hospitality and now manages the Sofitel New York hotel.

He remains close to his high school friends, including Lauren, Stephen, Trey, and Loren Polster, all of whom attended his wedding in Monterey, California, in 2016 to Isabell Hiebl. The couple, who consider Austria a second home, welcomed their son, Nico Josef Schmitz, in September 2018, and their daughter, Leni, in March 2023.

Since appearing on Laguna Beach, KCav’s friend has mostly avoided reality TV. After a short period of public attention due to a 2007 DUI, she built a quiet life in Texas with her husband, Michael Evans, whom she describes as incredibly kind and loving, and their four children. She now focuses on family, occasionally sharing on social media that she’s just ‘trying to keep track of her kids,’ alongside running a blog and online shop.

Remember Alex and Jessica competing for Jason’s affection? That was a long time ago! Alex married Kyle Johnson in 2014, with Morgan Olson, Alex H., and Taylor Cole as bridesmaids. They now have three sons: Levi (born in 2016), Kase (born in 2018), and Rome (born in April 2021). Alex used her communications degree from Chapman University to co-found MOX Agency, a social media marketing company, also in 2014.

When Morgan joined MTV in 2004, she wasn’t aiming for fame. She simply wanted to document her high school years with friends, as she told Time magazine. She also remained committed to her personal goal of finding a Mormon husband and starting a family.

After graduating from Brigham Young University in 2008 with a degree in humanities and journalism, she married Joel Smith two years later. She explained that she pursued the life she always wanted—finishing college, traveling, getting married, and building a career—regardless of her TV show. Now living in South Carolina, where she recently opened a showroom in Charleston, she’s a designer and mother to Theo, Georgia, and Julian.

Casey didn’t start on the original cast of Laguna Beach, but she quickly made an impact when she joined the show. Since then, she’s become a successful baker, opening Casey’s Cupcakes in Orange County and even winning Cupcake Wars on Food Network in 2011.

Her personal life is equally happy. She’s been married to Sean Brown (who is related to the late Nicole Brown Simpson) since August 2015, and they have three children: daughter Kensington and sons Sean Brown Jr. and Conrad.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve always admired how Taylor balances it all! It feels like just yesterday she was celebrating at a friend’s wedding back in October 2015, and now she’s a mom of three! She and her husband welcomed their first child, Tatum, in September 2018, followed by Cole in January 2020, and little Olson in August 2022. Beyond being a busy mom, Taylor’s also the founder of Taylor Cole Holistic Nutrition and loves sharing little glimpses of her beautiful life on Instagram – it’s all about balance, isn’t it?
