Following the tremendous achievement of Last One Laughing UK, the creators behind the riotously funny show are now aiming to develop the next major hit production.
Banijay identifies Initial and Zeppotron as two entities; Initial being responsible for productions such as Big Brother and 99 to Beat.
The production teams are creating a British adaptation of the Dutch game show “Let’s Play Ball.” In this show, two groups of comedians compete against each other by trying to roll a massive ball through different terrains, ranging from congested urban streets to sprawling pastures.
As a dedicated fan, I can proudly say that it’s Zeppotron who are responsible for some of my favorite shows like 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Would I Lie To You?, and The Ranganation, just to mention a few.
Earlier this year, the British version of “Last One Laughing” premiered on television, featuring a group of 10 top comedians who were challenged to avoid laughing under various situations.
In the first season, we have a group consisting of Bob Mortimer, Daisy May Cooper, Joe Lycett, Judi Love, Rob Beckett, Sara Pascoe, Lou Sanders, Joe Wilkinson, Harriet Kemsley, and Richard Ayoade. They all engaged in an amusing activity where they spent six hours together with the intention of making each other chuckle.
The comedian expressed his enthusiasm: “I can’t wait to watch Greg Davies, he’s truly impressive!” He added that Davies has a peculiar knack for competition and possesses the ability to deliver serious content. In the comedian’s opinion, even Ricky Gervais might not last more than 30 seconds against him.
