It’s time for the cast of Laguna Beach to come clean 20 years later.
The original stars of the popular MTV show are getting back together in 2026. Lauren Conrad, Kristin Cavallari, and Stephen Colletti are among those who will reunite on television for a new Roku special – the first time they’ve appeared together since 2006.
Lo Bosworth, Talan Torriero, Trey Phillips, Christina Shuller, Dieter Schmitz, Jessica Smith, and Alex Hooser are also participating, according to a recent announcement, to honor the show’s lasting appeal, the bonds between cast members, and its beautiful seaside setting.
Lauren announced the news on September 24th with a heartfelt Instagram post, and she included help from some of her longtime friends.
LC shared a nostalgic photo of herself and the *Laguna Beach* cast from their high school prom, announcing a reunion special coming to the Roku Channel in 2026. She captioned the post, ‘Let’s go back to the beginning…’
Kristin, who became the show’s narrator after Lauren left, announced on Instagram that the original cast of *Laguna Beach* is reuniting for a special! It will be available on Roku in 2026, and she said it feels like going back to where it all began.
The class of 2004 from Laguna Beach High School is planning another get-together, just two years after celebrating their 20-year reunion. During that previous event, Lauren posted photos of herself with Stephen, Dieter, and other former classmates as they shared memories from their time in high school.
The star of *The Hills* shared on Instagram December 1st how much she enjoyed celebrating her 20th high school reunion! She thanked Hotel Laguna Weddings and Events for hosting the wonderful event.
Stephen posted some fun photobooth photos from a get-together with his classmates, jokingly writing on Instagram, “Class of 2004. Still got it!”
Okay, so Lo couldn’t make it to the high school thing, which totally bummed me out, but then she *hinted* that maybe, just maybe, the whole group would reunite for something huge down the line! And get this – she said that almost a year before it actually *happened*! It was like she knew all along, and honestly, it made me scream a little inside. I’ve been following them forever, and that little tease was everything!
Lo told Whitney Port on her podcast, *Gut Feelings with Lo*, in April 2024 that a high school reunion for their graduating class of 2004 is a possibility. She said plans are still uncertain, but there’s talk of it happening.

It was pretty funny to see Lisa Love from *Teen Vogue* tell Lauren Conrad she’d forever be known as the girl who skipped Paris Fashion Week. (Interestingly, that line originally came from *Vogue*’s Anna Wintour, as a 2019 look back at *The Hills* pointed out.) Now, over a decade after that controversial choice and her breakup with Jason Wahler, Lauren has achieved a lot more. She’s a *New York Times* bestselling author, co-founded The Little Market to support female artisans globally, and has built a successful lifestyle brand, starting with her LC Lauren Conrad line at Kohl’s.
She famously used to argue with her ex outside the Les Deux nightclub, but in 2014, she married musician William Tell from the band Something Corporate, after he finished law school. Their wedding was a beautiful, Pinterest-worthy event! They now have two sons: Liam James Tell, and Charlie Wolf Tell, who was born in 2019.
Kristin Cavallari, known for her role on *Very Cavallari* and her candid personality, has successfully transitioned from reality TV to entrepreneurship. Her lifestyle brand, Uncommon James, continues to expand, recently opening a second store in Chicago. She’s also launched a shoe line with Chinese Laundry and authored two cookbooks, including *True Comfort*, which will be released on September 29th, following the success of her *New York Times* bestseller, *True Roots*.
Kristin Cavallari and former NFL player Jay Cutler were together for ten years and had three children: sons Camden Jack and Jaxon Wyatt, and daughter Saylor James. They separated in April 2020.
In 2021, Kristin filmed a cameo for The Hills: New Beginnings season two.
It was surprising to see the former villains of *The Hills*, Spencer and Heidi Pratt, become devoted parents to their sons, Gunner and Ryker, and openly acknowledge their history on reality TV. After a difficult season where they publicly aired their marital issues on shows like *Celebrity Big Brother* (UK), *I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!*, and *Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars*, they managed to revive their fame and led the charge for the 2019 reboot, *The Hills: New Beginnings*. As Heidi explained to *Vogue*, reality TV is now a career for them. They’ve also learned from past financial mistakes and now have additional income streams, including their podcast and Spencer’s crystal business, Pratt Daddy.
Honestly, I totally get why Lauren Conrad wants nothing to do with revisiting her *The Hills* days. She actually said, and I quote, “Fk no!” when someone asked about going back. She really wants to distance herself from everyone involved, and I can’t blame her! It makes sense when you move on with your life, and she *has*. After graduating from culinary school and writing for *The Lo-Down*, she built an amazing brand, Love Wellness, focused on women’s health. She’s living a completely different life now in NYC than she was ten years ago, and it’s inspiring to see how far she’s come.
In March 2021, Lo surprised her followers by sharing on Instagram that she’d been dealing with a serious brain injury from an accident that happened two years earlier, which she had kept private.
Brody first gained attention for his relationships with both Lauren and Kristin during his time on *The Hills*, sparking ongoing public interest in his love life, even as he focused on his DJ career. (His 2015 series *Sex With Brody* likely didn’t discourage the attention.) He seemed to have found lasting love when he married Kaitlynn Carter in a 2018 ceremony in Indonesia, but they divorced in 2019.
He went on to find love with surfer Tia Blanco, with whom he welcomed daughter Honey Jenner in 2023.
Audrina Patridge first became known on reality TV with *The Hills*, and she’s continued to appear on shows like *Dancing With the Stars* and her own VH1 series, *Audrina*. She also briefly hosted *1st Look* on NBC. Now she’s back on MTV with the cast of *The Hills*, and she’s launched her own swimwear line, Prey Swim. After a difficult divorce from Corey Bohan, Audrina explored past relationships with Ryan Cabrera and Justin Bobby Brescia, but her priority now is her daughter, Kirra Max Bohan.
She briefly lived in Paris in 2008, though she later told *Vogue* it wasn’t a substantial stay. She then returned to Los Angeles with her future husband, Tim Rosenman, who was working on her reality show spinoff. Currently, she balances several projects: judging *Britain & Ireland’s Next Top Model*, running her Love, Whit line, co-hosting the *With Whit* podcast, appearing on the reboot of *The Hills*, and raising her son, Sonny Sanford Rosenman.
Besides fueling fan fiction about a love triangle with LC and Kristin, Laguna Beach’s popular star is actively building his acting career. He appeared on The CW’s *One Tree Hill* for five seasons and played Taylor Swift’s love interest in her “White Horse” music video. He also briefly worked as a VJ on the original *Total Request Live*.
He and James Lafferty, his co-star from *OTH*, launched the Hulu series *Everyone Is Doing Great* in January 2021. Two years later, they reunited with Kristin for the *Back to the Beach* podcast, where they rewatched old episodes.
After appearing on *Laguna Beach*, KCav’s friend mostly stepped away from television. She briefly made headlines again in 2007 with a DUI arrest, but then moved to Texas with her husband, Michael Evans, whom she describes as incredibly kind and loving. They now have four children. While she does have a blog and an online shop, she mostly jokes online about the everyday challenges of parenting.
Oh my gosh, Jason Wahler! I remember him from *Laguna Beach* and *The Hills*, but honestly, it was heartbreaking watching him struggle after the show. He just kept getting into trouble – drugs, DUIs, fights, you name it, he dealt with it. I was SO relieved when he finally went on *Celebrity Rehab* with Dr. Drew Pinsky and started getting his life back on track. And now? He’s amazing! He married Ashley Slack, who he says is the first woman he’s been truly sober with, and they’re just the sweetest family. They had Delilah in 2017, and then Wyatt in 2021! He always says Ashley is the most beautiful, loving, kind, and caring woman he knows, and honestly, I totally get it. It’s just so good to see him happy and healthy now!
Jason Wahler, the founder and owner of Widespread Recovery, continues to openly share his personal challenges on both the show *The Hills: New Beginnings* and his YouTube series, *JAWS Diaries with Jason & Ashley Wahler*.
Stephanie was initially brought onto the show to create conflict with Lauren, but the two became friends instead, which caused years of tension with Stephanie’s brother, Spencer. After spending several years appearing on British reality TV shows like *Celebrity Big Brother* and *Made in Chelsea*, and publishing a memoir in 2015 about her personal struggles with bulimia, crystal meth, and avoiding trouble, she returned to *The Hills*… and quickly started causing drama again. Following a harsh critique of her fellow cast members – calling Heidi “evil” and Audrina “crazy” – Stephanie decided not to return for a second season.
Casey wasn’t one of the original stars of *Laguna Beach*, but she definitely made an impact when she joined the show. After that, she found success as a baker, opening Casey’s Cupcakes in Orange County and even winning *Cupcake Wars* on Food Network in 2011. Her personal life is equally happy – she’s been married to Sean Brown (who is related to the late Nicole Brown Simpson) since August 2015, and they have two children: daughter Kensington Kelly Brown and son Sean Brown Jr.
Lauren and Stephen’s close friend pursued a career in the hotel industry, starting in New York and later becoming general manager of the Lore Group in Washington, D.C. in 2019. He remains close to his high school friends, including Lauren and Stephen, who were guests at his 2016 wedding to Isabell Hiebl in Monterey, California, alongside Trey Phillips and Loren Polster. He and Isabell welcomed their son, Nico Josef Schmitz, in September 2018.
