Lauren Jauregui reacted to her Dancing With the Stars elimination like a boss.
Fifth Harmony’s former member and her partner Brandon Armstrong were unexpectedly eliminated on the September 30th episode of the show, following their performance on TikTok Night.
Despite not getting enough votes from the audience and receiving lower scores from the judges – putting them with Andy Richter and Elaine Hendrix in the bottom three – host Alfonso Ribeiro revealed that Lauren would be leaving the competition, which surprised everyone in the ballroom.
When asked how she was feeling, the 32-year-old simply responded: “Pissed.”
However, that didn’t stop her from praising her partner.
“I truly appreciate everything we’ve built together,” she told Brandon while they embraced. “Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
After the show, the “Sledgehammer” singer further elaborated on her feelings.
“Hi everyone, as you know I’m a Cancer, and I’ve been crying a lot,” she shared in an Instagram Story on Sept. 30. “I just wanted to express my gratitude to everyone who voted and for all the kind messages I’ve been seeing online. I love you guys.”
She went on to say, “I used to be able to encourage you to vote, but I can’t do that now.” She added, “I hope you all had a good time at the dance. I really wanted to leave you with an even better performance. We had a wonderful event planned for next week, so I’m really disappointed that we won’t be able to share it with you. Alas, that’s just how things are, and I’m incredibly thankful for everything. Thank you all for watching.”
Lauren and Brandon finished their performance with a Cha-Cha danced to Fifth Harmony’s song “Work From Home.” Lauren, who received a score of 18 out of 30, excitedly shared that she felt supported by her fellow band members Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane, and Normani, along with choreographer Sean Bankhead, while she put a new spin on their popular song.
“It’s incredible that people are still enjoying this song nine years later,” Lauren shared with hosts Alfonso and Julianne Hough. She then spoke about the group, saying, “They’re the absolute best. Thank you all for being here; I love you.”
The stars still in the competition and their professional dance partners will light up the dance floor during Disney Night. In the meantime, continue reading to learn more about the cast of DWTS’ season 34…
