IO Interactive has released the second installment of its ‘Beyond the Light’ developer diary series, offering a closer look at their upcoming game, 007 First Light.
This video features the game’s creators and actors discussing the characters and the process of bringing them to life.
IO offers interesting perspectives on the personalities of key James Bond characters, including Moneypenny, M, Q, and, naturally, Bond himself.
The story also touches on how the characters were designed and how the game captured the actors’ likenesses by scanning their faces.
Even though the video doesn’t show any gameplay, it’s still worth watching. It’s great to hear the actors, Kiera Lester (who plays Moneypenny) and Alastair Mackenzie (who plays Q), talk about the story and their characters.
007 First Light is due to arrive on PS5 on 27th May 2026 after it was delayed out of March.
