In simple, conversational language: I’m really excited to share that Disney has collaborated with LEGO on a new collection inspired by the Pirates of the Caribbean series, featuring Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow! The standout piece from this collaboration is the Captain Jack Sparrow’s Pirate Ship, also known as the Black Pearl (10365), which sets sail today, September 11th or 12th. This set boasts a whopping 2,862 pieces and an 8-member minifigure crew. That’s a major leap from the previous Black Pearl set that came out in 2011 with only 804 pieces. Additionally, if you make the right moves, you’ll also get two free Gift With Purchase sets along with your purchase!

The legendary pirate ship, the Black Pearl, as depicted by LEGO Icons, featuring Captain Jack Sparrow, will be available for purchase. The price is $379.99 and it’s exclusively accessible to LEGO Insiders from September 12th, starting at 12am Eastern Time.

Once assembled, the Black Pearl model will be quite a substantial size, roughly 12.99 inches tall, 25.20 inches long, and 9.06 inches wide. Inside this set, you’ll find eight minifigures: Captain Jack Sparrow, Will Turner, Elizabeth Swann, Hector Barbossa, Gibbs, Cotton, Anamaria, and Marty.
Jack Sparrow’s nearly unbeatable supernatural ship, modeled in LEGO form, comes with several captivating features such as a rotatable dial for deploying the port or starboard cannons and an adjustable rudder controlled by the ship’s wheel. The deck opens up to reveal intricate captain’s quarters filled with furniture, candlesticks, and an apple. Other components include a removable rowboat and a minifigure figurehead. Furthermore, the hull can be divided at the waterline to showcase the ship fully under sail.
The scheduling for the debut of the LEGO Black Pearl set is perfectly timed, given the increasing buzz surrounding the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean franchise revival.
