LEGO has just unveiled its first One Piece set for 2026: the Gum-Gum Fruit, a key item that began Monkey D. Luffy’s adventures as a pirate. This new set is being released alongside the second season of the One Piece anime, now available on Netflix.
The LEGO One Piece theme began in August 2025 with sets inspired by the first season of the Netflix show. Now, to coincide with the release of season two, LEGO is adding a new collectible set featuring the iconic Devil Fruit that transformed Monkey D. Luffy. LEGO and One Piece fans are sure to enjoy this latest addition.
The LEGO set is available for preorder now at the LEGO Store and will be released on August 1, 2026.

PRE-ORDER THE NEW LEGO ONE PIECE GUM-GU FRUIT | $69.99 AT LEGO
As a huge One Piece fan, I was so excited to build this Gum-Gum Fruit set! It’s made of 482 LEGO pieces and really captures that iconic spiral shape. But it’s not just something to put on a shelf – you can actually open it up! Inside, it shows a sweet little scene of young Luffy finding the fruit in the windmill, which is such a memorable moment from both the anime and the new live-action series. It’s awesome to see that scene recreated with LEGO bricks!

This set includes two Luffy minifigures. One shows the current captain of the Straw Hat Pirates with arms that can extend, and the other shows a young Luffy when he first discovered the fruit that gave him his stretching abilities.
Why the Gum-Gum Fruit Is Such an Important One Piece Moment
For fans of One Piece, the Gum-Gum Fruit is key to understanding Luffy’s beginnings. He ate this Devil Fruit when he was young, which gave him the power to stretch – a skill that shapes both how he fights and who he is as a character.
As a result, the fruit is now a hugely recognizable part of the series. This LEGO set isn’t so much about building a particular fight as it is about honoring the iconic moment when the story began.

This LEGO set is designed for both display and play. You can showcase the detailed fruit shell on its included stand, or open it up to reveal a hidden scene recreating Luffy’s discovery in Windmill Village. The set also features a Luffy minifigure with movable arms, letting you pose him and recreate his signature stretching abilities.

As a huge One Piece fan, I’m so excited about this new LEGO set! It looks like this might just be the beginning, too. I’ve been hearing rumors about even more sets coming out later this year, potentially including builds based on places like Drum Island Castle, a Marine Ship, and even a Tony Tony Chopper figure!
