Leonardo DiCaprio Wants to Reprise This Iconic Role

Leonardo DiCaprio is sounding the wolf call.

The Oscar-winning actor is set to feature in the upcoming film “One Battle After Another“, and he’s expressed interest in reprising his beloved role as the corrupt stockbroker, Jordan Belfort, from “The Wolf of Wall Street“.

The actor shared with TopMob News’ Will Marfuggi during an interview broadcasted on September 10 that it would be exciting to delve into more “Wolf of Wall Street”-like roles.

In Martin Scorsese’s 2013 movie, DiCaprio had a particularly significant role that netted him his fourth Oscar nomination. Later on, he won an Academy Award for Best Actor in 2016, thanks to his performance in The Revenant, a film where he also played the lead character, as seen in Titanic.

In Paul Thomas Anderson’s film “One Battle After Another,” he features notable performers including Benicio Del Toro, Sean Penn, and Teyana Taylor.

The actress, DiCaprio told TopMob at the film’s premiere, has “the best sense of humor.”

When they spoke about her being cast in the film, he remembered thinking, ‘She’s going to really shine here.’ And indeed, she did.

As a lifestyle expert, I can share that Leonardo DiCaprio has graced over 30 films with his captivating presence. However, there’s one role he regrets not taking – the part of Dirk Diggler in Paul Thomas Anderson’s iconic film “Boogie Nights,” a role eventually brought to life by Mark Wahlberg.

In an interview with the director published by Esquire in August, DiCaprio expressed his feelings, stating, “I’d say it regardless that you’re here. My greatest regret is not having been part of Boogie Nights. It was a deeply impactful film for our generation. I can hardly picture anyone other than Mark in that role. When I eventually watched that movie, I couldn’t help but think it was a true masterpiece.

In 2017, it was confirmed that Leonardo DiCaprio had initially declined the lead role in “Boogie Nights,” a cult classic from 1997. Interestingly, this film was being made concurrently with “Titanic,” which catapulted him to global fame and marked his transition from a child actor to an international star.

On The Bill Simmons Podcast, Anderson stated that there was a disagreement between Leo and Mark, due to Leo choosing not to participate in the movie. However, Anderson believes that Leo and he will collaborate on a project someday, when the right film comes along.

One Battle After Another is set for release Sept. 26.
