Let It Die: Inferno Makes Use of AI-Generated Content for Voices, Music and Graphics

The game Let It Die: Inferno, a follow-up to Let It Die, has announced it will be using AI to create some of its content. According to a statement on the game’s Steam page, the developers at Supertrick Games used AI to generate voices, music, and graphics, which were then reviewed and edited by the team.

The document also revealed that AI-generated content includes things like textures for signs, illustrated records, InfoCast videos, and both voices and music.

The game Let It Die: Inferno was first shown during the State of Play event in September. Since then, details have been limited, but a demo was released on PC last month to give players a preview of the gameplay.

Supertrick Games describes their new game as a multiplayer roguelite where players descend into the Hell Gate to claim the Eye of the Reaper. Players can find weapons during each run that will be available for use in future attempts, encouraging exploration. While the main gameplay focuses on cooperative dungeon crawling, a separate mode will offer player-versus-player combat.

Following the aftermath of Earth Rage, humanity faces a new threat: a massive chasm that suddenly appears. In Let It Die: Inferno, players must venture into this chasm, known as the Hell Gate, to uncover its mysterious origins and destination.

Players were primarily motivated to brave the dangerous Hell Gate by a widespread rumour claiming a powerful artifact, the Eye of the Reaper, lay hidden within. This massive source of SPLithium was said to grant its possessor world domination. They were also given a simple, direct order: eliminate anyone who stood in their way.

The main character is a unique individual – an immortal adventurer known as a Raider. Unlike normal people, they can die repeatedly while exploring the Hell Gate and always return. Raiders aren’t alone, though; they can connect with the Raiders Association, a group filled with interesting characters like a grieving receptionist, a tough older woman with one arm, a secretive veteran who wears a mask, a wandering storyteller, and a confident, skilled Raider.

The new game, Let It Die: Inferno, will be available on PC and PlayStation 5 starting December 4th. It’s the newest installment in the Let It Die series, which began as a unique dungeon crawler with online multiplayer features. A previous game, Deathiverse: Let It Die, didn’t perform as well and was reworked by Supertrick Games. You can read our original review of that game for more information.
