
The popular soccer game Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road from Japanese developer LEVEL-5 is a big hit, having sold over 800,000 copies on all platforms. It’s quickly approaching one million units sold and marks a strong comeback for the renowned studio.
I was so excited when this game finally came out last November 13th, and it was a huge hit right away – over 500,000 copies sold in just one week! And it didn’t stop there, it sold another 300,000 over the Christmas holidays, which is amazing!
The studio will release a free update on January 28th to improve the game, adding the “Ares route” and other new features. This update continues their practice of offering free content, similar to the ‘Galaxy and LBX’ DLC they released last year.
Victory Road had been in the works for a few years and was the first Inazuma Eleven game released on PlayStation. It capped off a successful year for LEVEL-5, following the strong sales of Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time.
