Liam Payne’s Girlfriend Defends Love Island Contestant From Trolls

Kate Cassidy is asking for kindness.

The former girlfriend, who dated One Direction singer Liam Payne for two years before his passing in October, showed understanding towards Love Island USA’s new contestant Vanna Einerson, whose looks have been a topic of online criticism since her debut on season seven of the Peacock dating competition show during the June 23 episode.

In a June 24 TikTok post, Kate commented, “The world can be ruthless at times,” as she didn’t need to watch Love Island to see this. She referenced a beautiful girl named Vanna who entered the villa, apparently. This young lady is stunning, yet she’s being harshly criticized on TikTok and the web. It’s shocking, and it’s incredibly cruel and painful.

Initially, when Vanna made her debut on the program, a number of spectators were taken aback to learn that the television personality was only 21 years old, as she possesses such a mature appearance.

Kate said, “Can you envision being without your phone, staying in a villa, eagerly anticipating meeting many new individuals, stepping outside, retrieving your phone only to find that instead of enjoyable interactions, you are met with offensive comments?

And the 26-year-old understands what Vanna is going through.

Kate clarified, ‘I understand; I’ve been the target of online defamation before.’ She added, ‘You name it, I’ve heard it. Comments like, ‘you look like a mother,’ ‘you look like a mom,’ ‘you look 45,’ ‘I can’t believe you’re 25,’ ‘I thought you were at least 40′ are nothing new to me.’

She remarked, “Fellows, it’s really unfair.” She further explained, “It truly stings, not just figuratively but literally. It’s unfair, and it’s totally out of line.

Kate concluded her video with a clear statement, expressing it as, “Here are just three easy words: Show kindness.

Following the airing of a similar appeal in the latest episode of Love Island USA, her call for viewers to show more kindness towards Vanna has been made.

During Love Island’s June 24th episode, the screen displayed: ‘Love is central to Love Island…We adore our fans and islanders. However, we do not condone cyberbullying, harassment, or hate.’

Earlier in the day, the series made a friendly announcement on its social media channels, addressing its “Love Island USA” community.

The message stated, “We’re grateful for the fans, their enthusiasm for the show, and the fantastic Islander community that’s spending their summers with us.” It also reminded everyone to keep in mind that these are real people, so let’s treat them with kindness and share positivity!
