The newest installment in the Life is Strange series, Life is Strange: Double Exposure, became available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC (through Steam and the Microsoft Store) on October 29, 2024. A version for Nintendo Switch followed on November 19, 2024.
Here is the full description of the unannounced title:

Advice for Consumers
This game is rated for ages 16 and up due to strong language, depictions of illegal drug use, and intense violence. It’s not recommended for anyone under 16.
Brief Outline of the Game
Chloe Price and Max Caulfield have a special connection – they can manipulate time together. Max deeply regrets losing Chloe, and now Chloe has unexpectedly appeared at Caledon University. She’s troubled by disturbing dreams and confusing memories, and she’s relying on Max for support. However, Max is facing a crisis of her own: a devastating fire will soon destroy the university campus.
Content Specific Issues
Okay, so I just finished playing, and honestly, it’s pretty intense. There are a couple of things that really stood out to me. During one party scene, my character was offered wine, and I let her take a sip. It quickly became clear she’d been drugged – she started hallucinating, and things on screen got seriously distorted. Another character even bluntly said she was “tripping balls,” and it was revealed she’d taken mushrooms. Beyond that, the game doesn’t shy away from violence. The opening showed a recap of past games, including a really graphic scene where a girl gets shot. A lot of the violence isn’t shown directly, but it’s heavily implied – like when a building is set on fire and you can hear people screaming inside. And be warned, there’s strong language throughout, including the f-word, as well as other swear words like ‘asshole,’ ‘piss,’ and ‘shit.’ It’s definitely not a game for everyone.
Other Issues
The game allows players to buy optional items like new outfits and a digital upgrade. Parents and guardians should be aware of these purchases and check what’s available before buying anything for a child. It’s important to know the game is fully playable without buying these items. The game also contains content that might be frightening for younger players, including images of skeletons and corpses (without gore), and some suggestive themes. There’s a reference to a party where a character makes an inappropriate joke, and suicide is mentioned throughout the game, though it isn’t shown visually.
