After a rating appeared online that hinted at the story, the next Life is Strange game will be officially revealed on January 20th at 10 AM PST. The short preview video suggests a popular character from previous games will be making a comeback, along with Max.
You can briefly see Ms. Caulfield walk past the camera, with just a glimpse of her brown hair, and a taller person follows close behind. While we can’t see the face, the jacket – which has a bird design on the back – strongly suggests it’s Chloe Price. This is especially meaningful given the importance of birds, specifically the blue jay, in the first game.
The new game, Life is Strange: Reunion, follows Chloe as she searches for Max at Caledon University. She’s struggling with disturbing nightmares and confusing memories, and quickly gets caught up in a new problem at the school. It’s likely Chloe and Max will work together to solve it, but given the events of their past – and if that ending is considered official – players might face another difficult decision.
While we don’t have a specific release date yet, Life is Strange: Reunion is scheduled to come out sometime this year. Similar to Double Exposure, it will probably be available on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch, and there’s a possibility it will also launch on the upcoming Switch 2.
Find out what’s true and what’s just speculation! We’re excited to officially announce the next Life is Strange game on January 20th at 10am PST / 1pm EST / 6pm GMT / 7pm CET.
