Around 8:00 AM on August 21st, the Los Angeles Police Department received a call about a man strolling naked in the street along Ventura Boulevard. According to the LAPD, the individual was later recognized as Lil Nas.

Later on, TMZ’s video recordings showed him strolling along a street, clad just in a pair of white cowboy boots and white underwear. From time to time, he would stop and strike a pose, also catching the cameraman’s gaze.

Upon their arrival, the suspect aggressively approached the officers, leading to his apprehension. Subsequently, he was rushed to a nearby hospital due to suspected drug overdose and detained for allegedly assaulting a police officer.

The Grammy-winning artist faces charges for four felonies: three for battery causing harm against a police officer and one for resisting a superior officer, as stated in a press release from the LA District Attorney’s Office. He has, however, pleaded not guilty to these allegations.

If found guilty, he could serve a maximum of five years in a state penitentiary, as stated in the report. The artist behind “Industry Baby” will reappear in court on September 15th for a preparatory hearing regarding the ongoing case.

4 days following his detention, Lil Nas X was brought before a judge who set his bail at $75,000. Exiting the Los Angeles Superior Court in Van Nuys, California, he was dressed in a blue prison jumpsuit and sandals.

Prior to his upcoming court case, his legal representative, Christy O’Connor, asserted that no evidence of drug involvement has been presented, as reported by NBC News. Furthermore, she acknowledged the remarkable journey that Lil Nas has traversed so far in his life.

If these accusations are correct, this incident represents a significant deviation from this individual’s usual behavior,” O’Connor stated in court, according to the report. “He has never encountered anything similar before.

In the meantime, his dad, Robert Stafford, stated that his son was “deeply sorry for the incident.
