There’s no indication of wrongdoing, and as reported to People magazine on August 19th, the Hawaii Police Department has concluded their investigation into David’s passing.

Initially, David’s family disclosed the distressing information about his demise on June 16, as his sister Jalene Kanani Bell posted an emotional tribute in remembrance of the deceased actor.

With tears streaming down my face, I feel compelled to share that my extraordinary, kind-hearted, gifted, hilarious, intelligent, and handsome brother, David H. K. Bell, will be spending today with our Heavenly Father. It seems as if the universe has nudged me this Father’s Day morning by scheduling a newsletter celebrating the men in our lives, helping me find the right words to express the profound admiration I hold for him as a human and as a prince among men.

Jalene took a moment to recall how deeply Bell cherished his acting career, sharing a heartwarming story about him purchasing tickets for his entire family to watch him in the big-screen adaptation of “Lilo & Stitch,” where he played the role of Big Hawaiian Dude.

She mentioned that Bell had thought ahead and bought the finest seats for us to attend the opening night performance in Kapolei about two weeks back. Bell is also known for roles in shows like Magnum P.I. and Hawaii Five-0, she added. The atmosphere was electric as we were all decked out in L&S apparel – t-shirts, onesies, hats, masks, and merchandise selling briskly while we waited in line for popcorn.

After reminiscing that they later returned home and spent time on my living room couch discussing life over a seltzer while also exploring family history, Jalene noted, “I’m grateful for these moments, big and small, and will preserve our cherished memories.

Besides Jalene, David also leaves behind his aunt Gerry, as well as his sisters Kehau Bell and Lara Leimana.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I can’t help but reminisce about my dear friend Bell, who truly reveled in the art of acting. A vivid memory that stands out is when he arranged for our entire family to watch him shine on the big screen. This was none other than his role as Big Hawaiian Dude in the live-action remake of Lilo & Stitch. What an unforgettable moment it was!

Two weeks ago, Bell bought fantastic tickets for us all to attend the premiere in Kapolei together. This was something he had thoughtfully arranged beforehand,” she remarked, referring to Bell who has been seen in TV shows such as Magnum P.I. and Hawaii Five-0. “Our conversation was electrified by fans donned in L&S clothing from head to toe – t-shirts, onesies, hats, masks, and merchandise selling like hotcakes while we waited in line for popcorn.

Reflecting on how they chatted about life on my living room couch after returning home, shared a seltzer, and traced their family history, Jalene noted, “I am grateful for times like these, as well as all the significant and trivial incidents, I will preserve our memories.

As your trusted lifestyle guide, I’d like to share that besides me, David leaves behind a significant circle of love.
