Everyone is eagerly anticipating official news about a new season of Line of Duty, but in the meantime, Martin Compston’s new series, The Revenge Club, will be available on Paramount+.
Compston stars in the six-episode darkly comedic series, based on JD Pennington’s The Othello Club, alongside Aimée-Ffion Edwards, known from Slow Horses and Luther. They both play unlucky strangers who meet in a divorce support group, each dealing with the pain of betrayal and heartbreak.
Calum and Emily are quite different, but they connect through shared heartbreak. This leads them to a crazy plan: getting revenge on those who hurt them.
What started as simple payback quickly escalated into something much darker. Their attempts at justice became increasingly unhinged, and soon harmless pranks turned into fatal incidents.
The description for this revenge thriller asks: “Could the satisfaction of getting even be better than falling in love?” You can start streaming it on December 12th.

The show features a talented cast including Meera Syal, known for her roles in ‘Mrs Sidhu Investigates’ and ‘The Kumars at No 42’, alongside Sharon Rooney (‘Barbie’, ‘Daddy Issues’), Douglas Henshall (‘Shetland’, ‘Who Is Erin Carter?’), Chaneil Kular (‘Sex Education’, ‘Accused’), and Amit Shah (‘Mr Bates vs The Post Office’, ‘Happy Valley’), in addition to Compston and Edwards.
The cast also includes Owen Teale, known for his roles in ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘Line of Duty’; Aoife Kennan, who has appeared in ‘Vera’ and ‘The Dumping Ground’; Rob Malone (‘The Witcher’, ‘Vikings’); Niamh Walsh (‘Smother’, ‘Jamestown’); Wil Coban (‘The Boys in the Boat’, ‘Origin’); Christina Bennington (‘Halo’, ‘The Game’); and Eoin Duffy (‘The Dry’, ‘The Apprentice’).
Gabbie Asher, a writer for the Prime Video thriller The Girlfriend, collaborated with Matt Jones (from The Split) and Adam Usden (known for Lupin) to write the script.
Tim Kirkby, known for directing Fleabag, and Daniel O’Hara, who worked on Stay Close, directed the project.
The Revenge Club comes to Paramount Plus on 12th December.
