Liza Minnelli Cheekily Reveals 3 Ideal Men She’d Like to Date

Liza Minnelli wants her love life to be filled with passion, connection, and all that jazz.  

Liza Minnelli, who has been married four times, reveals what she’s looking for in a future relationship in her upcoming memoir, Kids, Wait Till You Hear This. Interestingly, she’s open to having more than one partner.

In a recent excerpt from a book published by People magazine, 79-year-old Liza shared her ideal dating preferences. She said she’d like to date an older, well-dressed, and very wealthy man, followed by a passionate 40-year-old, and finally, an 18-year-old she’d see casually twice a week, even if she didn’t know his name.

Her romantic story doesn’t end there. In her upcoming book, set to release on March 10th, the actress known as Liza with a Z also shares memories of past relationships, including her marriage to film producer David Gest. They first met in the 1980s, but didn’t become a couple until they worked together on Michael Jackson’s 30th Anniversary Celebration concert in 2001.

They got married in 2002 after dating for a year, but their relationship didn’t last, ending after just one year. Liza recently shared that she was actually relieved when it ended.

She wrote in her book, according to The Times, that a man told her he loved her and claimed to be wealthy. He promised to improve her life, and he actually did. But looking back, she said she would have avoided him at all costs.

Liza Minnelli, the actor from New York, New York and daughter of Judy Garland and Vincente Minnelli, shared other difficult memories from her career. She also discussed her experience at the 2022 Academy Awards, claiming she had to use a wheelchair while presenting the Best Picture award with Lady Gaga. She wrote that she had expected to sit in her usual director’s chair, explaining it was the most comfortable option for her back. However, just before the show began, she was told – not asked – to use a wheelchair or not be on air at all. She was shocked by this request, which she felt was both insulting due to her age and a baseless excuse for safety.

Liza has relied on a director’s chair ever since her back surgery in 2014. She said the recent, unexpected switch to a wheelchair was difficult because it positioned her too low to comfortably read the teleprompter.

She admitted she felt unusually nervous. On the ride home, she began to seriously consider writing her life story. She knew many people might try to profit from telling the story of Liza Minnelli, but her parents hadn’t had the opportunity to share their own side of things. Now, she felt it was her turn.

I was reading that the reality star actually told The New York Times she’d pretty much do anything to look younger! She was joking, of course, but it really shows how dedicated she is to maintaining her appearance. It’s wild to think about what lengths people will go to, isn’t it?

She admitted in June that she’d even consider something extreme – like eating something disgusting daily – if it meant she could look younger. She emphasized she was serious, saying, ‘I just might!’

Kim Kardashian told Allure in July 2022 that she was mostly kidding when she made the comment, but admitted it wasn’t a completely awful idea.

Kim admitted, after some thought, that she’d likely do almost anything for youth, saying she’d probably even eat something disgusting like poop if someone promised it would make her look younger, as long as she ate it daily.

Asked how much she could eat, she said, “Perhaps just a small bite.” She added that a full bowl would be too much for her.

Jelly Roll could’ve used some saving from himself.

During an April 2025 interview on The Jennifer Hudson Show, the singer behind “Save Me” shared a particularly embarrassing story, and didn’t hesitate to reveal all the details.

“I pooped myself one time,” he admitted. “I did, I’m sorry.”

To be fair, Jelly Roll (whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord) didn’t intend to cause such serious harm.

He firmly believed it was just a misunderstanding. “I really apologize,” he said. “I saw the audience quickly turn from supportive to completely against me.”
