Dragami Games has announced that Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will be available in Japan on March 26th for 7,590 yen. Players who already have the Switch version of the game can upgrade to the new edition with an Upgrade Pack costing 1,100 yen.
Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP came out on September 12, 2024, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch, and PC (through Steam). PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions followed on December 2, 2024. By August 12, 2025, the game had sold over 300,000 copies.
The upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 will have noticeably better graphics and run much smoother – consistently at 60 frames per second – whether you’re playing it handheld or connected to a TV.
The game now features a new mode called “Gun Shooting Mode,” only available on the Switch 2. You can unlock it by completing either “RePOP Mode” or “ORIGINAL Mode.” In this mode, players battle endless waves of zombies across three phases per level. You’ll use the Chainsaw Blaster as a stationary turret in a fast-paced, arcade-style mini-game, and aiming is supported with the Joy-Con 2 controller, similar to using a mouse.
