Love Is Blind Season 9: Find Out Who Broke Up and Who Got Married

Warning: This article contains spoilers for Love Is Blind season nine.

They made it out of the pods, but did they make it down the aisle?

Only three couples from the latest season of Love Is Blind decided to get married: Ali Lima and Anton Yarosh, Megan Walerius and Jordan Keltner, and Kalybriah Haskin and Edmond Harvey.

Kacie McIntosh and Patrick Suzuki weren’t the only couple to leave the pods engaged, but their relationship didn’t last. They broke up quickly, even before the planned trip to Mexico with the other cast members.

Despite a promising beginning, Nick Amato and Annie Lancaster called off their engagement because they had fundamental disagreements and couldn’t build a secure future together. Similarly, Madison Maidenberg and Joe Ferrucci ended their relationship shortly after Joe cancelled his wedding tuxedo fitting, confessing to Madison that he didn’t see her as his life partner.

Although Madison’s relationship didn’t last, she still appreciates the time she shared with that person.

The person Madison was before entering the pods is almost unrecognizable compared to who she is now,” she explained to TopMob News. “Being in that environment forces you to confront yourself, bringing out hidden parts of your personality and unresolved issues. I was genuinely surprised by how much I learned about myself and how much the experience changed me.

For a look at who transformed as a couple and who’s now single after season nine, keep reading…

Ultimately, Anton’s lifestyle and money problems weren’t a good fit for what Ali wanted.

She told the truck driver, right at the altar, that she couldn’t marry him. She explained that the man she’d connected with while they were dating in the pods was very different from the person she’d come to know in the real world.

So, she listened to her intuition.

You know, when I reflect on that experience, something just felt off. It wasn’t the moment I’d envisioned at all. Honestly, I didn’t get the sense he was fully open about what his life was really like. It’s important to me that people are upfront about their lifestyle, and it just didn’t seem like he was being completely honest.

Honestly, I’ve been following this situation closely, and Anton seems genuinely confused about what went wrong. He keeps saying he can’t pinpoint it – whether it was something superficial, a feeling between them, or just the everyday life they shared. But he’s adamant about one thing: he always cared for her deeply, and that’s what really matters to me.

Despite connecting over shared experiences with family members who have Type 1 diabetes, Megan and her fiancé had very different approaches to life – he valued simplicity, while she enjoyed luxury. This ultimately led Megan to end their engagement, as seen in the season nine finale.

“It’s like we’re just passing ships – completely different people,” the entrepreneur explained. But Jordan didn’t understand the comparison, simply saying, “I don’t get it.”

After Megan mentioned Jordan’s fussiness about food and difficulty with travel plans as a father, he responded by questioning why she had chosen him in the pods to begin with.

Okay, so I always tried to believe in that whole ‘opposites attract’ thing with them, you know? But honestly, deep down, I just couldn’t shake this feeling that it wasn’t right. And hearing her say it… it just broke my heart. She admitted she never wanted to go through with the wedding, that she couldn’t put either of them through that. We were both sobbing, it was awful. I just knew, in that moment, it was over. It was like she finally admitted what I’d been feeling all along.

Jordan admitted his biggest regret was letting his son, Luca, meet her. He explained in a private interview that he believes she doesn’t love him for who he is, and that realization is enough for him to move on.

Megan shared that the experience made her doubt her abilities as a mother, wondering if she was too focused on her own needs.

At their wedding, both Kalybriah and Edmond expressed strong feelings for each other, saying they loved each other very much. However, Kalybriah ultimately rejected Edmond’s proposal, offering her apologies.

She told the realtor she needed someone who was fully committed, and admitted she wasn’t in that place herself. However, she quickly added that saying ‘no’ didn’t mean she didn’t care about him.

Edmond was upset and started crying, but Kalybriah thanked him for handling the situation with dignity as she explained her difficult choice. When he asked if they might date in the future, Kalybriah reassured him that she wasn’t ruling it out completely.

“I am shocked,” he said in a confessional of her decision. “There was no bright side.”

Joe ended things with his partner before they could get married in season nine, breaking up with them after an emotional episode while trying on his tuxedo.

Madison recalled to Glamour that Joe presented two different sides of himself – one off camera and one on. When the cameras weren’t rolling, he was comforting and affectionate, and they shared a close, physical connection. But during filming, especially like at the pool party, he acted completely differently.

Madison directly asked Joe if he was attracted to her, and he admitted it had been a problem while they were on vacation.

She asked him what kind of women he usually dated, and he said he preferred those who were smaller in stature. Although she generally feels confident, his answer briefly made her feel insecure.

Joe explained that he was clumsily trying to describe a recurring pattern in his past relationships, and didn’t intend to compare or judge anyone.

I was absolutely heartbroken when Nick called off the wedding. It was so unfair! He said he felt awful because I kept telling him I loved him more, and apparently that bothered him a lot. It just didn’t seem like a reason to end everything, but there it is.

Despite Nick ending the relationship, the hairstylist didn’t accept it and pleaded with him to stay, saying, “Just stay with me and love me.”

“You can’t make one plus one equal three,” he said, prompting her to say, “Watch me.”

Nick finally explained to Annie that he didn’t want to marry her because he was unhappy.

Dave and Lauren’s relationship didn’t work out after they arrived in Honduras. While they discovered they had friends in common, the real issue was Dave’s discomfort with learning that Lauren had previously been intimate with someone they both knew, even before filming the show.

Plus, Dave hadn’t wanted to introduce Lauren to his friends or family. He hadn’t even told his dad he was engaged, and his sister, who would later cause a lot of problems, didn’t approve of the relationship at all.

Many fans thought Monica and Joey were a perfect match and expected them to get married. But when it came time for their wedding, Monica unexpectedly called it off.

She said, tears welling up, that she was completely committed, but felt they both still had a ways to go. Joey wholeheartedly agreed.

He hugged her and reassured her that everything was alright. He said they clearly cared deeply for each other, but he felt they both needed to focus on personal growth right now. He admitted he wasn’t ready for a relationship, and wasn’t sure he was even close to being ready at the moment.

Okay, so Ben and Sara… everyone thought they were SO different. Like, totally opposite on everything important – religion, politics, you name it! But then, on their wedding day, it actually seemed like they’d figured things out, like they’d finally met in the middle. Honestly, I was so excited for them! But… it just didn’t last. They decided to call it quits, and it’s just… heartbreaking. Their story ended, and I’m still trying to understand why.

Sara, who previously told me she didn’t see a future with Ben, explained to him, “Ben, I care about you deeply, but I’ve always envisioned a partner who shares my perspective and values. Because of that, I can’t continue this relationship. I’m truly sorry if that’s hard to hear.”

She explained that while she deeply cares for him, their core beliefs are too different for a relationship to work. Although it’s difficult, she knows she needs to end things because their values don’t align.

Devin and Virginia appeared to be a happy couple, looking forward to their future together after the pods. However, their relationship hit a snag when they started discussing a prenuptial agreement.

Ultimately, more significant problems led Virginia to end her relationship with Devin and decide not to marry him.

Fighting back tears after leaving the wedding, she explained that she often felt the need to shield Devin throughout their relationship. She wasn’t sure if this was due to her upbringing, but protecting him was always a priority. This meant avoiding certain sensitive subjects, like politics, and respecting his boundaries, which ultimately prevented them from fully connecting and exploring deeper aspects of their relationship. They simply never reached that level of intimacy.

In the end, Daniel and Taylor were the happy couple who decided to commit to a lifetime of love, promising to stay together long after the holiday season ended.

Despite a rocky start – Taylor believed Daniel had briefly unfollowed her on Instagram, suggesting he’d seen her picture – they were able to move past the issue and connect.

After sharing heartfelt promises, the couple had a lovely wedding and a joyous reception.

“We did it!” Daniel exclaimed, sitting with Taylor after their wedding. Taylor added, “We can’t wait to start our lives together.”

The art dealer, who later became well-known, proposed to the author of Keeping Well after a complicated relationship involving Hannah Jiles. However, they soon realized they were better suited as friends and ended their brief engagement.

Brittany and Leo realized they didn’t have a romantic connection, as Brittany explained to People magazine. They discussed the possibility of a relationship early on, but as time passed during their time together, it became clear they weren’t a good match. They were able to communicate openly and honestly, making the realization and subsequent decision a respectful and straightforward process.

Soon after appearing on a Netflix dating show, Brittany began dating musician Mod Sun in November 2024. However, she announced their breakup in July 2025.

Monica and Stephen split up after she discovered explicit text messages between her fiancé and another woman while they were still on vacation in Mexico. Stephen initially apologized on the show, but later posted a message on social media after the episode was broadcast.

In an October 2024 post on Instagram Stories, he expressed regret if his presence bothered anyone, saying he was sorry if people were upset to see him and wished they hadn’t had to start their day that way. He added that he still cared for them regardless.

After leaving the pods, Hannah and Nick definitely experienced their share of challenges and arguments. Hannah famously noted that she felt like an equal only when she contributed equally to the relationship.

Everything fell apart when Hannah realized she didn’t want to marry Nick. He described the split as incredibly painful, calling it one of the worst moments of his life.

Since then, Hannah has admitted the show forced her to do some self-introspection.

She recently shared that she’s been reflecting on herself and identified areas for improvement. Speaking on the The Viall Files podcast, she explained that while she’s always been direct, she realizes her communication style can be a bit harsh. She’s come to understand that how you say something is just as important as what you say.

Taylor and Garrett instantly connected, feeling like a perfect match—especially given their shared tattoos! Their relationship seemed destined for marriage. They did face a challenge when Taylor discovered Garrett had responded to a message from a former girlfriend, but Garrett claims he quickly clarified his engagement and ended the conversation. After that, their journey on Love Is Blind unfolded beautifully.

The pair were still married at the Love Is Blind reunion in October 2024.

You’re not mistaken – despite being a strong couple and considered likely finalists, Ramses decided to cancel the wedding after reconsidering things.

After a heartfelt conversation, Marissa excitedly told her fiancé, “I see a wonderful future with you, and I want to marry you.” He replied, simply, “I know falling in love always carries a risk, and I accept that.”

He pointed out that their disagreements—like their differing views on the military—might be too significant to overcome. He explained that, based on his own marriage and what he’s learned from others, love isn’t always enough for a successful relationship. Other factors need to be compatible as well.

Marissa tried to stay strong, but once she realized the relationship was over, she started crying. She told him, “I wish you hadn’t come here,” expressing her confusion and hurt. “I was so certain about us, and you weren’t? It’s awful. I really wanted you to pick me.” She also said that this was the worst day of her life.

Tyler and Ashley were popular with viewers as their romance developed smoothly. However, things became difficult when Tyler revealed he had three children, a revelation Ashley dismissively called his “sperm donor babies.” The level of Tyler’s involvement with his children is a topic of online debate, but he hasn’t publicly spoken about it.

As a lifestyle expert, I was thrilled to see Ashley and Tyler’s journey! By the time we filmed the October 2024 reunion, they’d truly worked through their issues. It was amazing – they didn’t just reconnect, they actually fell in love and got married! It’s proof that second chances really can happen.

Tyler and Ashley, newly married, shared that meeting two months ago completely transformed their lives. ‘Now,’ Tyler said, sitting with Ashley, ‘we get to spend forever together.’

However, Ashley later shared that the pair had called it quits following over one year of marriage.

In a statement released in January 2025, she announced that she and Tyler have separated and are divorcing. She explained that after a lot of thought, they realized they were growing apart and couldn’t continue their marriage, despite hoping they could resolve their differences.

Alex and Tim appeared to resolve their big argument while they were in Mexico, and their relationship seemed stronger than before when they returned to Washington, D.C. Things got even better when Tim had a heartfelt conversation with Alex’s father, which suggested a promising future for them.

After Alex met Tim’s family, the couple had another fight, and Tim broke off their engagement, telling Alex he never wanted to see her again. Since then, both Alex and Tim have publicly shared their sides of the story, with Alex clarifying that the breakup wasn’t a joint decision.

Chelsea and Jimmy had a rocky season with some arguments, but it seemed they finally resolved their differences on a fun date at an amusement park just before their wedding.

Jimmy ended his engagement with Chelsea, leaving her shocked and in tears, as he felt it was time for their relationship to end.

I was completely floored when Jimmy told me how he felt on our date. He said he loved me deeply and really wanted a relationship – he was so earnest about making it work! But then he dropped this bombshell: he absolutely couldn’t see us getting married, ever. It was a lot to take in, hearing him say all of that.

He said they were simplifying a complex situation, which stemmed from several deeply upsetting issues. One of those issues was Chelsea revealing a secret about Jimmy’s previous relationship with a friend.

After one last argument about their past relationships, Chelsea finally left, crying and saying, “I really thought we had a chance.”

The pair were both single during the March 2024 reunion.

Clay was reluctant to get married because of his father’s past infidelity, but AD comforted him, assuring him they could overcome any challenges together, and things seemed good between them.

When it came time to actually get married, Clay surprised AD by calling off the wedding. He explained that he wasn’t ready and felt it would be irresponsible to go through with it.

Cue the shock.

He told AD he would do the necessary work to figure things out, and they would face it together. He emphasized that he wasn’t ready for marriage, and she deserved someone who was. He explained he wouldn’t commit until he felt fully prepared to give her his all, and he couldn’t give her an answer right now.

Oh my god, when she finally realized it, it completely broke her! She was so upset, she just burst into tears and screamed that the whole thing had been a total waste of her time – and she didn’t hold back with the language, let me tell you! It was devastating, but honestly, a little bit empowering to see her finally say what we all knew was true.

Clay explained that both financial and emotional connections were significant factors in his decision to leave. He confessed, “I had to ask myself if I was still a husband, and the answer was no. I also realized I wasn’t truly in love anymore.”

At the reunion, Clay admitted he regretted not dating AD and hoped they could try again, but she didn’t reveal whether she’d be open to the idea.

AD admitted she did go on a few dates with her costar, Matthew Duliba, after they finished filming, but they are no longer dating.

She announced in May 2025 she’s expecting her first baby with fiancé Ollie Sutherland.

Amy and Johnny were the only couple from season six to get married! Their beautiful wedding wasn’t just about starting their life together – they also blended their families together wonderfully. Amy’s dad even shared how happy he was to now consider Johnny’s sister like another daughter.

As for Johnny, he too declared at his reception that his father-in-law was his “new dad.”

They are still married.

Brittany and Kenneth’s relationship began passionately, but it didn’t last after they faced the challenges of everyday life.

Brittany explained to Life & Style that things changed once she and her partner returned to Charlotte. She felt they had a very strong connection while in the pods, but that passion faded a little after leaving that environment.

Brittany and her ex-fiancé have stayed friends. At a recent meeting, she shared that even though their romantic relationship ended, they’ll always have a strong connection.

Laura and Jeramey’s engagement ended abruptly when Laura discovered Jeramey had spent time with a fellow castmate, Sarah Ann Bick, while they were out. Following a heated argument, Laura ended the relationship.

But instead of that, he went off to ride jet skis with Sarah Ann.

At the March 2024 reunion, Jeramey shared that he and Sarah Ann had been dating on and off for the past year, starting after the show finished filming, but they are no longer together.

Laura is dating someone else, who she did not identify at the reunion.

Despite overcoming challenges like Izzy’s initial connection with Johnie Maraist and Stacy’s insistence on a certain standard of living (she really didn’t want paper plates!), Stacy ultimately decided not to marry Izzy because he wasn’t truthful about his financial history.

Even though Stacy didn’t go through with the wedding, she still wanted to stay with Izzy, who was heartbroken.

“We’re at different spots,” he told her. “It really breaks my heart.”

Stacy appreciated Izzy helping her to be more open with her feelings, but she wasn’t fully convinced about their long-term compatibility. She explained that she needed to be completely sure before committing to a lifelong partnership, and ‘fairly certain’ just wasn’t enough.

Izzy is now dating surgical assistant Shelby Webb.

The only bright spot of season five faded when Lydia revealed on an interview with former castmate AD Smith’s podcast, What’s the Reality, in June 2025 that she was divorcing Milton after less than three years of marriage.

She explained it wasn’t a single event, but rather a build-up of issues. When she informed him she’d let him know when the divorce papers were finalized, he said he wouldn’t sign them without a non-disclosure agreement.

She explained that she decided to go public with the news because she’d been holding it in for too long. She felt it was important to share what she’d been going through, as staying silent had become unbearable.

Lydia stated that while they were married, other women accused her husband, Milton, 26, of flirting excessively and buying drinks for them at bars. Milton denied these claims, but instead of addressing them, he questioned why Lydia would even consider the rumors to be true.

Throughout the season, Paul and Micah seemed drawn to each other despite their differences. However, at the wedding, Paul revealed he wasn’t ready for marriage after Micah asked him to go first, ultimately declining to marry her.

“I feel terrible,” Micah admitted. “If Paul had proposed, I would have accepted immediately.”

Oh my gosh, at the reunion, Paul actually apologized! Can you believe it? He finally said sorry for that awful thing he said in his private interview – about not being able to picture Micah as a mom. I was SO relieved to hear him say it, honestly. It was a really important moment, and I’m glad he took responsibility!

Paul admitted he hadn’t been fair to her when he spoke earlier. He clarified that his real concern is that he doesn’t envision them having children together.

Although they got back together for a short time after finishing the show, Paul and Micah eventually split up permanently. Paul shared that the final breakup happened when he went to visit Micah in Arizona.

On the show After the Altar, Paul shared that he was seeing someone new—a woman who loves to travel and appreciates his cooking. He later publicly confirmed their relationship on Instagram with Geneva Dunham, who works as an eyelash technician.

Even though Kwame’s mother didn’t come to the wedding and he had some questionable chats with Micah – someone he’d gotten close to during the show – Kwame and Chelsea were still one of the three couples who got married at the end of season four.

At the reunion, Chelsea shared that she’d finally met her husband’s mother. Kwame also apologized to his wife and her family for his actions, explaining that his conversations with Micah hadn’t been his best moment.

The couple is living in Seattle with their beloved dog Rocky.

It’s often said that love is blind, but sometimes it takes a while – or even getting engaged to someone else – to realize you’ve made a mistake. This happened to Zack, who first proposed to Irina Solomonova, but they ended up breaking up while on vacation in Mexico.

Despite initial challenges and objections from Bliss’s father, the couple reconciled and got married. They immediately celebrated as husband and wife by sharing their first dance to Lee Ann Womack’s “I Hope You Dance” – the song that had brought them together in the first place.

Okay, so after the show wrapped up, Zack posted the sweetest photo of him and his partner on Instagram. The caption? Just ‘Eternal Bliss!’ It was such a lovely, simple way to celebrate their happiness, and honestly, it totally melted my heart. It’s all about those little moments, right?

The couple announced they were expecting a baby in November 2023 and welcomed their daughter, Galileo Terri Rayne Goytowski, in April 2024.

It feels like we haven’t seen a Love Is Blind couple with such instant chemistry since Cameron Hamilton and Lauren Speed back in season one!

Tiffany, 36, and Brett, 37, were the oldest couple in the experiment and got married despite a last-minute wardrobe mishap – Brett’s pants didn’t fit! Luckily, seamstress Lucia saved the day.

Since filming wrapped, Tiffany and Brett moved to Portland and are still perfect! Phew!

After SK said “I don’t” at their wedding, he and Raven seemingly parted ways.

Once the show stopped filming, the ex-couple got back together and announced they were dating again during the season three reunion show.

A month later, the couple announced their split following rumors of infidelity. In a November social media post, SK and Raven stated they couldn’t share details due to ongoing legal issues, and asked for privacy during this difficult time. They thanked fans for their support throughout their relationship.

Viewers were shocked and disappointed when Jackie decided to reconnect with Josh Demas—another person she’d formed a connection with in the pods—before officially ending things with Marshall.

During the reunion, Jackie clarified what happened with her relationships. She explained, “I ended things with Marshall before I even met Josh at the coffee shop. It might seem like I was unfaithful, but I wasn’t.”

Jackie spoke about her breakup with Marshall, admitting she takes responsibility for her part in what happened. She explained that they simply weren’t a good match for each other.

Okay, so about Jackie and Josh… I was so rooting for them! They seemed so happy together, even after the show wrapped up – they were still together during After the Altar, living together and everything! But then, she did an Instagram Live in September 2023, and my heart just broke when she said they’d split up. Seriously, I was devastated!

Marshall shared with TopMob that he and fellow contestant Kacia Clark briefly attempted a connection after the show ended. However, he decided he needed to create some distance from the whole experience.

On the show After the Altar, Marshall shared that he’s been dating Dr. Chay Barnes for a year and hopes to marry her. They got engaged in December 2023.
