The psychological horror game titled “Luto,” launched by Broken Bird Games this year, is now available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5 for $19.99. Built using Unreal Engine 5 and drawing inspiration from Konami’s P.T., the story centers around a character who cannot move on from the loss of a loved one and finds themselves trapped within their own home.
As I navigated through the depths of my depression, I uncovered hidden truths and insights that were sometimes hard to swallow. There’s a touch of puzzle-solving involved, reminiscent of P.T., as an eerie presence persistently haunts you, seeming determined to keep me from escaping. The developers at Broken Bird Games admitted that the production process took longer than anticipated, but they viewed each hurdle as both a challenge and a valuable learning opportunity. Essentially, they were starting from scratch in this endeavor.
During the process, we encountered some unexpected problems at the final hour. For instance, there was a slight hold-up in releasing the Xbox Series X/S version due to unattainable achievements and lower-than-anticipated frame rates. Fortunately, our team has already addressed these issues internally, and after thorough testing, it’s now accessible on the Xbox Store.
Luto has arrived! Thank you for your understanding, and we sincerely hope you have a wonderful time using it!
