Lyrical Games and The Chinese Room, the studio known for games like Still Wakes the Deep, Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, and their work on Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, have joined forces in a new publishing partnership, the companies revealed.
Lyrical Games is fully funding the project and helping with its production and launch, but The Chinese Room will still control the creative direction and own the game’s intellectual property.
Lyrical Games quickly recognized the potential of The Chinese Room’s ambitious game idea, and we’re dedicated to helping them bring it to life. As a publisher, our priority is to make the development process as smooth as possible by providing clear support and resources, allowing the team to focus on creating a truly outstanding game, said Blake Rochkind, head of Lyrical Games.
According to Chinese Room CEO Ed Daly, their collaboration with Lyrical Games will allow them to focus on creating a great experience for players. Lyrical will handle getting the game to those players, giving Chinese Room the freedom to be more creative and competitive in the current gaming landscape.
Further information about the new game was not announced.
