Madame Blanc Mysteries bumper Christmas special guest cast confirmed – with Coronation Street and EastEnders stars

No Christmas feels complete without a cozy Madame Blanc mystery to enjoy with snacks and drinks – and this year’s special is the longest one yet, clocking in at two full hours!

Jean, played by Sally Lindsay, and Dom, played by Steve Edge, are back, along with Judith (Sue Holderness) and Jeremy (Robin Askwith). This time, they’re at a fancy Christmas Eve event at the Musée de Sainte Victoire, where Jean has been asked to verify the authenticity of a box that once belonged to Marie Antoinette.

But the festive cheer quickly evaporates when she discovers a ticking bomb concealed inside.

The story begins with everything happening fast: the museum is locked down, a security guard is dead, and the clock is ticking – there are only 90 minutes before something explodes.

Jean and her friends need to solve a tricky puzzle and disarm a bomb before it’s too late. It’s her most dangerous mission so far – will she be able to succeed and save everyone?

Alex Gaumond will reprise his role as Chief of Police André Caron, alongside Sue Vincent as Gloria Beaushaw and Tony Robinson as Uncle Patrick.

We’re thrilled to announce that John Thomson (known from Cold Feet and Coronation Street), Kacey Ainsworth (Grantchester, EastEnders), Raji James (Hollyoaks, The Man Who Fell to Earth), and Manjinder Virk (Trigger Point, Midsomer Murders) are joining the cast. They’re sure to bring some exciting twists and turns to the show!

Lindsay, the creator, writer, and executive producer, explained that this project is a tribute to the beloved Christmas movie.

This story works perfectly on its own, but features all your beloved characters facing a truly unique challenge. It’s a bold idea, and we couldn’t be happier with the final result.

I’m really excited for our amazing fans to see this! Wishing you a very Merry Christmas from everyone at Sainte Victoire.

We’ll let you know when the Christmas special will be available. As for whether there will be another season of the show, nothing has been confirmed yet, but Lindsay has expressed interest in continuing it.

“I’m not under any, ‘Yes, I’ll quit when I’m on a high.’ No, I won’t,” she laughed.

I truly love this and plan to continue doing it for as long as I’m able, because it’s become incredibly important to me and a big part of our lives now.

It’s wonderful because my husband, Steve, also handles the music, so it’s a shared passion for us. Plus, our sons, Victor and Louie, join us on vacation there, which makes it even more special.

“It’s just really special, so I’ll drag it out as long as they want me to.”

The Madame Blanc Mysteries will air on 5 this December.
