Madden NFL 25 Releases New Gameplay Trailer

Madden NFL 25 Releases New Gameplay Trailer

As a lifelong football enthusiast and a die-hard Madden player since its inception, I must say that the latest sneak peek into Madden NFL 25 has me absolutely thrilled! The gameplay footage they’ve released recently is nothing short of electrifying. I remember the days when Hit Stick was just a button press and now it’s all about timing and direction – what a game-changer that’ll be!

In less than a month, Electronic Arts is set to launch Madden NFL 25, and they’re working hard to build excitement among fans. Last week, they held “Ratings Week,” revealing every player’s ratings in the game. They’ve also shared gameplay previews and detailed explanations, but now they’ve given fans something extra: a 20-minute sneak peek at the game itself. This fresh footage was uploaded to YouTube, featuring two matches between Dallas Cowboys standout Micah Parsons and last year’s Madden Millionaire Henry Leverette. Although not entirely raw footage, it offers our first substantial glimpse of how Madden NFL 25 will unfold on the field.

There was a ton of information shared in the 20-minute video (which you can watch above), but the most exciting might be what we saw from the new Boom Tech feature. Madden NFL 25 is trying to add more skill to the Hit Stick this year, making it a timing and direction-based mechanic. If you can properly time and locate your Hit Sticks, you’ll give out even more bone-crunching hits, but if you mess up, your player might just slide off the ball carrier. We got to see this in action during the first game when Henry miss-timed his Hit Stick. Instead of being laid out, Parsons’ back slid off the tackle and regained his footing to grab a few extra yards. That new level of risk to reward should make Hit Sticks even more fun when players master it.

Additionally, we had the opportunity to observe various novel elements that were first showcased in College Football 25 incorporated into Madden NFL 25. It’s no shock that innovations such as half slides on the offensive line and the latest quarterback timing mechanism have transitioned, but these features have been well-received in CFB 25, which is encouraging. Furthermore, enhancements like refined running styles and the introduction of a one-hand catch button to expand your catch radius with a higher risk of drops were also included.

After wrapping up its ratings week, Madden NFL 25 is expected to share more details in the coming weeks leading up to its release. Set to launch on August 16th, the game will be available for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC users. If you preorder either the Deluxe Edition or MVP Bundle, you’ll enjoy early access for three days before the official release date!
