Madi Prewett, a graduate from Bachelor university, reminisced about testing numerous physical limits prior to finding “clarity” in her personal quest for purity.
During a recent episode of her “Stay True” podcast on June 23rd, Madi, aged 29, shared her perspective: “My parents emphasized the significance of maintaining your body for both God and your partner, as well as the pursuit of purity. They’ve demonstrated this value and mentioned it briefly before.
Her big takeaway growing up was “do not have sex,” but that led to other questions in her mind.
She stated, “Everything else seemed uncertain,” she added, “But what about the rest? What about explicit content, or even slightly overstepping boundaries with your partner?
She explained, “I wasn’t clear or certain about those ambiguous aspects related to this ‘purity’ concept. This lack of clarity made me keep testing limits and venturing beyond what I felt was right for me, or what I knew in my heart I ought to do.
Madi explained that “I’m not having sex” was her excuse to continue to push these boundaries.
In a recent podcast discussion, the ex-reality TV personality opened up about her ongoing battle with sexual issues, a challenge she’s faced since her teenage years.
She explained that we’ll delve into understanding why cleanliness is important to God, why being righteous is important to God, and this is essentially a message for God’s children, she added, clarifying that the discussion will primarily revolve around the topics of pornography and self-pleasure.
Madi shared with the audience that it’s been approximately a decade since she has been able to break free from the grip of pornography and masturbation, all thanks to God’s grace and the support of her spiritual community. She was once trapped by these habits, which left their mark on her for such a long time.
When she was 13 years old, Madi recalled starting to get “curious” about sexuality.
She shared, “In the past, there were instances where I felt curious or had certain thoughts and emotions about various things, yet I never disclosed them to anyone. One day, I visited a friend’s house when her parents weren’t home. My friend decided to watch a show that was quite inappropriate.
At that instant, Madi experienced sensations she had never encountered earlier – emotions such as “attraction.” It was only when she shared her emotions with others that she managed to gain some freedom.
Madi pointed out that living in secrecy tends to foster more wrongdoing and embarrassment since such environments are favorable for the adversary’s growth.
