Pat McGrath assures that Taylor Swift glows even brighter than the end of a cigarette in real life.
Even a well-known makeup artist, who has collaborated with Taylor Swift multiple times—including on the ‘Bejeweled’ music video—finds it difficult to describe what it’s like working with her.
“It’s just too much,” Pat excitedly told TopMob News on the red carpet at the Glamour Women of the Year awards on November 4th. “She’s incredibly inspiring, and she really knows her stuff when it comes to makeup, beauty, and everything else.”
Pat had trouble listing all of Taylor’s good qualities, saying simply, “She’s incredibly kind and very intelligent.”
The 54-year-old, who has collaborated with stars like Jennifer Aniston, Scarlett Johansson, and Oprah, was also impressed watching Taylor Swift at work on the set of the “Bejeweled” music video.
She’s incredibly talented – she can do hair and makeup, direct the project, edit the footage, and even handle the lighting, all by herself. It’s really remarkable.
Taylor is certainly a major success, but Pat highlighted that one of her best traits is being very down-to-earth and easy to talk to.
“Hung out with my team, hung out with me,” Pat gushed. “Very down to Earth. That’s the truth.”
Diamonds are meant to sparkle alongside each other, and Pat truly matches Taylor’s incredible energy. She was recently recognized by Glamour magazine as one of their 2025 Women of the Year, and she told TopMob News that she was completely stunned when she received the news.
You know, it’s funny. I recently found myself completely speechless, and it was the most wonderful feeling! Honestly, I was just filled with happiness and gratitude – it was such an honor. It really struck me how amazing it is to simply be happy, and I’m feeling incredibly content right now.

Taylor Swift is known for her dazzling style, but it was Pat who brought the stunning concept to life in her 2022 music video.
When Pat first heard the title ‘Bejeweled,’ she immediately envisioned something dazzling and full of sparkle, she told TopMob News. Inspired by the title and Taylor’s overall concept, she had countless ideas for how makeup could bring the director’s vision and the story to life.
