Frankie Muniz as Malcolm

Malcolm is a talented man who’s had a difficult life, especially growing up. Now a father to Leah and in a relationship with Tristan, he’s tried to create distance from his family due to past trauma. However, he’s drawn back home for his parents’ important anniversary, where familiar patterns and fresh conflicts resurface.

Where you’ve seen Frankie Muniz before: Agent Cody Banks, Stay Alive, Big Fat Liar.

Bryan Cranston as Hal

Hal is Malcolm’s quirky but loving dad. He and Lois are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary and Hal really wants to get the whole family together, even if it means things get a little crazy.

You might recognize Bryan Cranston from his roles in popular shows like Breaking Bad, The Studio, Your Honor, and How I Met Your Mother.

Jane Kaczmarek as Lois

As a film buff, I’m really intrigued by Lois in this new take on the story. She’s the absolute powerhouse of the family, and the movie centers around her attempt to pull off a big anniversary celebration. It’s clear she’s fiercely protective and wants to keep everyone together, but you can already sense that old family dynamics and tensions are going to bubble up under her seemingly perfect control. It’s a classic setup, and I’m excited to see how it plays out!

Where you’ve seen Jane Kaczmarek before: CHIPs, The Changeling.

Christopher Masterson as Francis

Francis is Malcolm’s older brother and a bit of a troublemaker. He comes back for the family reunion, adding his own complicated history and unique viewpoint to the Wilkerson family’s interactions.

Where you’ve seen Christopher Masterson before: I’d Like to Be Alone Now, Haven.

Justin Berfield as Reese

Reese is Malcolm’s unpredictable and sometimes difficult brother. When he returns to the family, old rivalries flare up, and the Wilkerson household becomes even more chaotic.

Where you’ve seen Justin Berfield before: Unhappily Ever After.

Emy Coligado as Piama

Piama is Francis’s wife and joins him for the family’s anniversary celebration. She contributes to the existing family conflicts with her own perspective.

Where you’ve seen Emy Coligado before: Based on a True Story, The Changeling.

Caleb Ellsworth-Clark as Dewey

Dewey, formerly played by Erik Per Sullivan, is the younger brother with a gift for music. He’s back for the show’s revival, bringing a mix of familiar feelings and fresh perspectives to the family get-together.

Where you’ve seen Caleb Ellsworth-Clark before: Joe Pickett, Fargo, Murdoch Mysteries.

Anthony Timpano as Jamie

Jamie is the youngest of the Wilkerson children, now an adult and returning for a family reunion.

You might recognize Anthony Timpano from his roles in Wild Cards, The Irrational, One Mile: Chapter One, and Fire Country.

Vaughan Murrae as Kelly

Kelly is the newest and youngest member of the Wilkerson family, appearing in the show’s recent revival.
