Malcolm-Jamal Warner’s Death: Second Man in Critical Condition

More information is emerging about Malcolm-Jamal Warner’s tragic passing.

After the ex-star of “The Cosby Show” tragically passed away due to an accidental drowning at age 54 in Costa Rica, it was reported by the local Red Cross to People magazine that there was another individual who required medical attention at the same scene.

On July 20, approximately at 2:10 PM, the Costa Rican Red Cross announced that they had received a report of an incident involving water on the Playa Grande resort’s beach. According to their statement to People, three ambulances were dispatched to the location and provided aid to two adult male individuals.

In the end, one of the patients, Warner, was pronounced deceased at the scene following CPR. Meanwhile, the other patient was urgently transported to a nearby clinic due to critical condition.

Following this, the situation was passed on to the law enforcement officials for them to carry out the necessary legal actions,” the Red Cross’ statement explained further.

As stated by the organization, the report indicates that “two individuals were swept along by the sea current towards the shore,” and that upon arrival, the paramedics found both individuals already out of the water.

According to Costa Rica’s Judicial Investigation Department, the report aligns with their statement about Warner being saved from the sea by beachgoers. However, paramedics discovered him without signs of life when they arrived on the scene.

Later, ABC News received confirmation from the Costa Rican national police that the alumnus’s official reason for passing away was due to suffocation.

After hearing about Warner’s death, many ex-coworkers and acting partners shared their sorrow, which underscores the actor’s long career in film.

Bill Cosby’s representative confirmed to TopMob News that the 88-year-old felt just as saddened by Warner’s passing as he did when he learned about the death of his own son, Ennis Cosby, in 1997.
