
Netflix is reimagining the story behind the popular Denzel Washington film. They’ve released a first look at , starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, which is a new adaptation of the A. J. Quinnell novel it’s based on.
The story was first adapted into a 2004 film starring Denzel Washington and Dakota Fanning, earning over $130 million in theaters. This new Netflix series will expand on the original novel and also include elements from the sequel, The Perfect Kill.
Michael B. Jordan stars as John Creasy, the main character in the 2004 film. Creasy is a highly experienced former soldier, having completed three tours with the US Army Special Forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. While some believe he’s past his prime, the first look at the Man on Fire movie hints at a powerful performance.
