Mandy Moore will never regret meeting her hero, Diane Keaton.
The actress, who played the daughter of Michael Keaton in the 2007 movie *Because I Said So*, honored the Oscar-winning actor after he passed away on October 11th.
Moore shared on Instagram that she had the incredible experience of working with someone she deeply admired, and even got to call her ‘mom’ during filming. She described it as a dream come true and a huge honor.
A representative for Keaton, who is remembered by her sons Dexter and Duke, confirmed her death to *People* magazine. No other information about her passing has been released yet.
Di was a truly radiant person, both then and now,” Moore shared. “I’m heartbroken by her loss – not just because of who she was, but because she seemed like a permanent fixture in our lives, always captivating us with her talent, personality, and incredible style! She was one of the very best, and my heart goes out to her family and everyone who loved her.
Kimberly Williams-Paisley, who played Keaton’s daughter in the *Father of the Bride* movies, also shared fond memories of working with him, much like Steve Moore did.
She wrote on Instagram that working with Diane was a true joy and one of the best experiences of her life. She described Diane as a uniquely wonderful person and said she cherished the time they spent together, thanking her for her kindness, generosity, talent, and especially her infectious laughter.
Diane Keaton received praise from her *First Wives Club* colleague, Bette Midler, who described her as brilliant, beautiful, and truly exceptional.
Bette Midler expressed deep sadness about the loss, sharing on Instagram that the performer was wonderfully funny, truly unique, and refreshingly genuine.
