Mandy Moore Shouts Out Hilary Duff’s Husband Amid Mom Group Drama

This is Mandy Moore showing support for her friends.

A year after the Los Angeles wildfires destroyed her house, the star of This Is Us publicly thanked Hilary Duff and her husband, Matthew Koma, expressing her gratitude for their support.

Mandy shared on Instagram that she feels incredibly grateful for Matthew Koma, calling him one of the most talented and kind people she knows. She explained this feeling came after Koma shared a video of her performing at a charity concert, and because he generously housed her family a year ago when they had to evacuate their home.

Calling her friend (born Matthew Bair) by his real initials, she added, “Love you MB!!”

Mandy feels the same way about Hilary. They’re both part of what the A Walk to Remember actress calls a close-knit group of moms.

Mandy shared with InStyle in 2022 that she’s become close friends with a great group of people. They recently got together for dinner and are now enjoying activities like baby classes together, which she described as amazing.

This month, attention turned to a moms group connected to Hilary Duff and Mandy Moore after Ashley Tisdale spoke out about a negative experience with a “toxic” mom group. Fans speculated Hilary and Mandy were involved because Ashley had previously shared pictures of them with other mothers. However, Ashley’s representative has stated that neither Hilary nor Mandy were part of the problematic group.

Hilary’s husband Matthew threw shade at Ashley shortly after the essay went viral.

He shared a mock magazine cover on his Instagram Story on January 6th, promoting a fake interview with The Cut. The headline on the cover read, “When You’re The Most Self-Obsessed, Out-of-Touch Person on Earth, Other Moms Tend To Focus on Their Kids.”

Matthew, who has three daughters with Hilary and is also stepfather to Hilary’s 13-year-old son Luca (from her previous relationship with Mike Comrie), shared his perspective in a piece titled “A Mom Group Tell All Through A Father’s Eyes.”

Ashley shared on The Cut that she felt left out after discovering group gatherings through Instagram. She noticed photos and stories of these events, which made her feel increasingly excluded from the group.

The actress, who previously starred on Disney Channel and is married to Christopher French, decided to leave the group because it reminded her of high school drama. She and French share two children: Jupiter, age 4, and Emerson, 16 months old.

She remembered feeling insecure one night after her daughter was asleep, wondering if she was ‘cool’ enough. It instantly brought back high school memories of feeling lost and questioning what she had done to be excluded.

Hilary’s husband Matthew threw shade at Ashley shortly after the essay went viral.

Okay, so I was completely glued to his Instagram, and he posted this… this amazing fake magazine cover! He said to check out his new interview with The Cut, but the title… oh, the title! It was brilliant, honestly. It said, “When You’re The Most Self Obsessed Tone Deaf Person On Earth, Other Moms Tend To Shift Focus To Their Actual Toddlers.” I mean, it’s SO him, right? It’s just… chef’s kiss. I immediately screenshotted it, obviously. I’m obsessed!

Okay, so Matthew – you guys, he’s married to Hilary and is basically the best stepdad ever to her three daughters AND to Luca, Hilary’s son with Mike Comrie – he wrote this amazing little blurb about a mom group, but from his perspective! He calls it ‘A Mom Group Tell All Through A Father’s Eyes,’ and honestly, it’s just… perfect. I’m obsessed with how involved he is with the whole family, and this just proves it!

In January 2024, Bobby addressed speculation about a disagreement with Tan, two months after announcing he was leaving Queer Eye after eight seasons. (Bobby is pictured second from left.)

He assured Vanity Fair that he and Tan are doing okay. He explained they had a private matter to work through, separate from the show, and emphasized it wasn’t a romantic issue—it was a personal disagreement that had been building up.

In March 2024, Tan addressed claims that he tried to get his friend Jeremiah Brent to replace Bobby on the show Queer Eye.

Netflix and the production team held a thorough audition process. I didn’t recommend my friend for the role, but they ultimately earned it because they were the most qualified. I also want to clarify that I didn’t help them get the part by having anyone else removed from consideration, as he explained in an Instagram post.

During a September 2023 game of “Stir the Pot” with her daughter Kelly Osbourne on TopMob News, Sharon Osbourne revealed that she considered actor Danny Masterson, known from “That ’70s Show,” to be the rudest celebrity she’d ever encountered. She described him as a very rude and unpleasant person.

He did not respond to her remarks publicly.

Five years ago, Sharon shared with Larry King that Ashton seemed upset during his 2014 appearance on The Talk because she had misspoken his name.

She remembered him asking, ‘Who are you and what have you accomplished in this field?’ She responded sharply, telling him, ‘Don’t underestimate me, because I’ll completely overwhelm you.’ She added, ‘You have no idea who you’re talking to.’

In August 2022, Cassadee Pope and Maren Morris publicly disagreed with Brittany Aldean, wife of country singer Jason Aldean. This followed a post Brittany shared on Instagram on August 23rd, where she thanked her parents for not allowing her to transition during a phase where she preferred traditionally masculine interests, and expressed her appreciation for a feminine lifestyle.

In a 2022 TikTok trend, JoJo Siwa called Candace Cameron Bure the “rudest” celebrity she’d met, explaining that Bure had once refused to pose for a photo with her at a red carpet event. Soon after, Bure apologized, saying she regretted hurting Siwa’s feelings as a young fan and was truly sorry for not taking the picture.

Candace and the other person resolved their differences. However, when asked months later if her network, Great American Family, would ever feature same-sex couples as the main characters in its holiday films, she said it wouldn’t, explaining that the network would continue to focus on traditional marriage.

JoJo, who publicly shared they are part of the LGBTQ+ community in 2021, responded to the actress’ comment on Instagram, calling it “rude and hurtful to the entire LGBTQ+ community.”

In June 2021, Courtney Love claimed Olivia Rodrigo had copied the album cover art for her band Hole in a promotional photo without giving credit. Olivia responded with a message of support, saying, “Love u and live through this sooooo much.” Courtney then playfully replied, “Olivia – you’re welcome! My favorite florist is in Notting Hill, London! DM me for details! I look forward to reading your note [winking face emoji].”

I was chatting on Watch What Happens Live recently, and someone asked about my experience working with Tom Hanks on Turner & Hooch back in 1989. Apparently, there’s always been curiosity about whether we really got along! It’s funny what people remember, and I was happy to share my side of the story about our dynamic on set.

I directed the movie for thirteen days, and then Jeff Katzenberg, the producer, told me to pack up and go home, saying I had everything I needed, according to him.

Winkler and Hanks’ dog seemed to get along very well. “I really loved that dog,” Winkler said.

He also refused to admit if he’s even seen the flick.

“You know what you did!”

Anyone who watched The Hills likely remembers that famous line from Lauren, spoken at the start of season three. The drama between her and Heidi began when Heidi started dating Spencer Pratt, and it escalated when Lauren claimed Heidi and Spencer spread a false rumor about her and Jason Wahler making a sex tape.

Tyrese and Dwayne Johnson had another public disagreement after the release date for Fast & Furious 9 was delayed until April 2020. On the same day, a spin-off movie featuring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham was announced, scheduled for release in 2019. Shortly after, Tyrese said he would leave Fast 9 if Dwayne Johnson was still involved.

Tyrese recently discussed the long-standing conflict with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, telling Van Lathan on the The Red Pill podcast that he still hasn’t spoken directly with Johnson, though they plan to. He did, however, talk with one of Johnson’s producing partners, but not with Johnson himself.

Tyrese admitted he shouldn’t have publicly shared frustrations on behalf of others connected to the franchise. ‘I was the one who spoke out, and that was my mistake,’ he said. ‘It wasn’t professional or a good look.’

No more bad blood here.

Taylor Swift and Katy Perry had a long-running public disagreement, rumored to be the inspiration behind Swift’s song “Bad Blood.” The conflict, which began with issues over a dancer and competition during their tours, was resolved when Perry sent Swift an olive branch as a peace offering before Swift’s Reputation Tour began.

Taylor shared on Instagram that she found a real olive branch in her dressing room, saying it meant a lot to her.

Taylor captioned the video, “Thank you Katy.”

For years, Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker, stars of Sex and the City, dismissed rumors of a disagreement. However, those rumors resurfaced when Kim chose not to participate in a third movie and made some pointed remarks about her co-star.

In a September 2017 episode of Watch What Happens Live, Andy Cohen asked Sarah Jessica Parker how she felt about Kim Cattrall telling Piers Morgan that they were never truly friends, only coworkers.

She said she was just devastated, explaining that they had talked about it all week. She was really bothered by it because her memory of what happened was completely different.

It’s definitely sad, but I believe what truly connects us is the shared experience we had. It started as a professional project, but over the years, it became something deeply personal. I’m hoping that the strong bond we formed through that long-term, meaningful work will outweigh any recent disagreements. Being a part of something special and connecting with people for so many years was a real privilege.

And though they didn’t film scenes together, Kim did make a small appearance on And Just Like That.

Elton John and Madonna have been publicly disagreeing since 2004. The conflict began when Elton, while accepting an award, criticized Madonna’s live performances. He famously said that her being called the best live act was ridiculous, questioning how lip-syncing could be considered a live performance. He even jokingly suggested that performers who lip-sync during paid concerts should face serious consequences.

The actress, formerly known for her role on Grey’s Anatomy, caused a disagreement with the show’s creator back in 2008 when she asked to no longer be considered for an Emmy Award. She explained that she didn’t think the storylines she was given were strong enough to deserve a nomination.

Shonda Rhimes discussed Katherine Heigl’s departure in a 2012 interview with Oprah Winfrey on Oprah’s Next Chapter. She admitted it was somewhat hurtful, but not entirely unexpected. “When someone shows you their true colors, you should believe them,” Shonda explained. “I’ve really taken that to heart, and it’s helped me a lot.”

The fight between Nicki and Cardi at the Harper’s Bazaar Icon party during New York Fashion Week became a major news story. A month later, Cardi explained what started the conflict with Nicki.

Honestly, it’s been frustrating because she’s been constantly coming for me lately. I actually tried to talk to her about it twice before, and we seemed to reach a point where we understood each other. But then she just kept at it, and it’s really disappointing.

The conflict really escalated when Cardi B noticed Nicki Minaj had supposedly liked, then unliked, a tweet criticizing Cardi’s parenting. Nicki has stated she didn’t actually interact with the tweet.

I was set to earn a lot of money from my tour with Bruno Mars, but I chose to stay home with my daughter instead. I really love her, and I’m a dedicated mom. It’s frustrating when people without kids criticize my choices. Everyone keeps saying that wasn’t the right time or place for what happened, but I don’t expect to run into another artist like that casually, like at the grocery store.

The conflict between Kanye West and Taylor Swift began in 2009 when he interrupted her acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards. They later reconciled and became friends, but their relationship fell apart in 2016 after Kanye released his song “Famous,” which included a reference to Taylor.

Just before the Grammys in February 2025, Kanye West began following only Taylor Swift on Instagram. He didn’t offer any explanation for the action, and Swift didn’t publicly acknowledge it.

“I don’t know her.”

The supposed rivalry between Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez has been talked about for over 15 years. It began during an interview where Mariah was asked about other singers. When asked specifically about Jennifer Lopez, Mariah famously said, “I don’t know her.”
