
Bungie has announced that its team-based, first-person shooter, Marathon, will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC (via Steam) in March 2026. The game will cost $39.99, €39.99, or £34.99.
Bungie has announced plans for a year of free updates to the game, with new maps, character customizations, events, and other content. The first update, coming in Season 1, will let players explore the Cryo Archive of the UESC Marathon. Details about future updates and seasonal content will be shared as they get closer to release.
The developer shared a new 23-minute video today that details the latest updates.

- Factions and the jobs they’ll ask you to do in game, like MIDA requesting you blow up a UESC dropship
- Faction upgrade trees and the capstone rewards you’ll earn each season
- The Codex, a collection of your achievements and narrative discoveries; progress to earn exclusive cosmetics and lore
