Joe Ziegler, the director of Marathon, announced that the experimental Outpost Duos mode has ended. However, he also shared that two new experimental modes will be available next week, and more information about them will be released soon.
Good news for Duos! Season 2 will include updates to this game mode, starting with a test queue on April 15th at 10 AM Pacific Time. Bungie has also been actively working on game balance this week, adjusting some powerful strategies – notably, they’ve reduced the effectiveness of the Biotoxic Disinjector.
We’re working to improve Marathon and make it a great experience, aiming to establish Tau Ceti IV as the top choice for fans of extraction shooter games. For those who enjoy playing in two-person teams, you can now try larger groups, or if you prefer, take a break and relax.
Marathon is now available on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC. Season 2 is coming soon with new content like a nighttime version of Dire Marsh and a brand new playable character. You can find details about the upcoming updates here.
