Bungie is letting players test an early version of its game, *Marathon*, from October 22nd to 28th on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC. The test will include three maps and five playable characters, plus improvements to how the game plays – like faster combat, a chat system for players nearby, and the ability to play alone without needing a team.
You can register now through October 16th on all platforms. Steam users will get first access to the application on October 13th at 10 AM Pacific Time. To play on PC, you’ll need at least an Intel Core i5-6600 processor, 8 GB of RAM, and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics card.
Currently, only players in North America and Europe can join the test, and all information about it is confidential. Keep in mind this is still under development and represents just a part of what’s planned for the full game. You can find more information in the FAQ.
Bungie has postponed the release of *Marathon* after September to make improvements based on player feedback and to resolve a dispute over artwork taken from another creator. They plan to announce a new release date this fall, so keep an eye out for updates.
