Maren Morris and her ex-husband, Ryan Hurd, were spotted back in a recording studio together two years after their divorce, suggesting they’re collaborating on new songs.

Maren Morris shared a photo on her Instagram Stories on January 23rd showing her husband, Ryan Hurd, recording music. The 39-year-old, who is the father of their 5-year-old son Hayes, was pictured with headphones and a microphone while producer Jon Green worked on a laptop. Maren simply captioned the photo, “We back.”

Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd working together musically isn’t surprising, considering their history. They first met in 2013 while writing Tim McGraw’s song “Last Turn Home,” and began dating two years later. They later married in Nashville in March 2018.

Although they broke up romantically in 2023, the Grammy-winning artist recently revealed that she and her former partner have remained friendly since the split.

She shared on Chelsea Handler’s Dear Chelsea podcast in June that she and her ex are lucky to prioritize their son and maintain a good relationship. She explained that getting along makes coparenting easier and benefits everyone involved.
