Previously wedded participant from Married At First Sight, Jacqui Burfoot, garnered attention on Tuesday as she stood before the Campbelltown Local Court, accompanied by a security guard, alongside her ex-TV spouse, Ryan Donnelly.
Currently, the TV personality has given insight into the genuine events surrounding the private security, implying that things are not always as they appear at first glance.
On Thursday, Jacqui posted a video on Instagram featuring herself and her partner Clint Rice, both known from the popular dating program. She accompanied it with an accompanying message for clarity.
Hey everyone, we were trying to get to Campbelltown, which is about an hour southwest of Sydney, and we really needed a ride from Double Bay because if we hadn’t, we would have faced harsh comments and bullying online. It seems like people can be quite cruel sometimes.
‘The Uber was going to cost $300.’

‘We took a great ride with a fantastic friend who happens to be a bodyguard in another role. He’s unfazed by the limelight, so it was an obvious choice for us.’
Previously, Jacqui mentioned that person Mo was like a ‘legend’, as he drove them to and fro on a Tuesday.
‘Fair to say there was no trouble today,’ she added as she posed with the driver.
This past week, I found myself standing before the Campbelltown Local Court due to my ex-associate, Ryan, petitioning for a Restraining Order (AVO) against me.
In this rephrased version, I’ve attempted to put it in the first person perspective of the individual named Jacqui, making it more personal and easy to read for the audience.
Since the conclusion of filming Married at First Sight in November the previous year, this was the first encounter between Burfoot and Donnelly.
In my line of work, I always respect the legal process and avoid commenting on ongoing cases. After today’s hearing was postponed, I chose to remain silent regarding the allegations outside the courtroom.
Her barrister, Marcia Edwards, said it would be prejudicial for her to speak.
Later on, Daniel Wakim, Donnelly’s attorney, stated that his client was still in need of safeguarding and aimed to discuss a resolution for this issue with the legal team representing Burfoot.

‘We’re yet to see what the respondent has to put on in relation to my client’s fears,’ he said.
Donnelly confided in reporters that he had been struggling emotionally due to his ex-screen wife’s near constant posts about him.
He said he had never thought his on-screen marriage would turn out this way.
‘It wasn’t the adventure I had planned,’ he told reporters.
I aimed to create a wonderful phase in my life, surrounded by a cozy group, and depart on good terms, remaining friends.
The matter will return to court on July 29.
