Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra Could Launch This Christmas, Says Voice Actor

This year, Skydance New Media’s “Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra,” led by “Uncharted” creator Amy Hennig, is scheduled for release, but the exact date has yet to be announced. Voice actor Khary Payton, who portrays Black Panther (Azzuri, T’Challa’s grandfather), recently offered an update suggesting that it might turn into a “Christmas scenario.

At MultiCon in Los Angeles, Payton told The Direct, “We’re actively developing and aiming for 2025… We’re considering it much like preparing for Christmas, but I’m genuinely thrilled!” This could imply that the team is hoping to release their project around the holiday season, although a precise date has yet to be determined.

Towards the end of the interview, Payton explains that they aim for the team members to feel as though they’re playing the game similar to a thrilling series like “Game of Thrones” or “The Walking Dead”.

In addition, you’ll be controlling him in the game, portraying his grandfather, playing a character inspired by Black Panther. When you look at it, it feels like you’re seeing yourself… It’s almost as if it’s a real-life photograph… Our goal is for players to enjoy this game and have the whole family gather on the couch, just like they would for shows like ‘Game of Thrones’ or ‘The Walking Dead.’ We aim to provide an exceptional cinematic experience for everyone, and I still can’t believe it.

As a gamer, I can’t contain my excitement! They guaranteed an incredible experience and hailed Amy Hennig, the genius behind the ‘Uncharted’ series. I mean, who would have thought this day would come? But come it will, and let me tell you, it’s going to be phenomenal! Having Amy at the helm as director and writer is a dream come true. She’s simply outstanding, and I can hardly wait to see what she has in store for us. So while we’ve been patiently waiting, remember that this delay is worth it – trust me, it will be mind-blowing!

The game titled “Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra” is currently being developed for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC. This story is set in occupied Paris during World War II, where Captain America and Black Panther team up to confront the threat of Hydra. In addition to these iconic characters, players can also control Gabriel Jones from the Howling Commandos and Nanali, the leader of Wakandan spies.

As a gamer, I’m excited because the developer is attempting to push boundaries with games that feel like movies. They’re aiming to make these experiences as accessible as possible by giving us familiar elements, but in fresh, innovative ways.
