The fourth episode of “Dexter: Resurrection” is leaving fans in awe with its surprising Easter eggs. Known for its numerous iconic moments, from smaller instances like Doakes consistently challenging Dexter to larger ones such as Dexter confronting the Trinity killer in his own home during Thanksgiving, this series never fails to provide unforgettable scenes. The show’s ability to maintain a formula that introduces fresh moments each season with new formidable characters played by talented actors is one of the reasons it has endured for so long. We are currently on our third spin-off and second sequel series as a result.
As a dedicated cinephile, I must say that “Dexter: Resurrection” offers an exciting new twist to Dexter Morgan’s tale. This time around, he finds himself in the bustling heart of New York City, confronting fresh and technologically advanced dangers. His world is filled with complications, as his son has taken a tragic step into the realm of murder, Dexter is navigating through an underground serial killer network, and he’s skillfully dodging Batista’s relentless pursuit. The narrative is a whirlwind of chaos, and it seems to be gaining even more complexity with each passing episode – a testament to its gripping storytelling.

Dexter: Resurrection Episode 4 Brings Back Major Dexter Trophies

In Episode 4 of “Dexter: Resurrection” entitled “Call Me Red,” Dexter’s narrative takes an exciting turn as he encounters a variety of unsavory individuals who appear to align with his moral code. Disguising himself as New York’s Dark Passenger killer, Dexter gains entry into this elite circle of serial killers. Among these individuals is Leon Prater, portrayed by Peter Dinklage, a wealthy philanthropist who has an unusual interest in serial killers. Although Prater may seem like a virtuous individual on the surface, his dark fascination with murderers becomes evident when he introduces Dexter to a hidden vault filled with trophies from various serial killers.
The place is essentially a museum dedicated to notorious murderers. During his visit, Dexter takes a nostalgic journey down memory lane. Here, he encounters memorabilia related to real-life killers such as Ted Bundy and the Ice Truck Killer. Moreover, he comes across artifacts from his own murders, like the hammer used to kill the Trinity killer, the table where the Ice Truck Killer’s neck was slit, and notably, Dexter’s box of blood slides, seized when Doakes mistakenly took the blame for being the Bay Harbor Butcher.
It’s quite an emotional return to where it all began for this series, unveiling scenes that viewers might not have expected to witness again. As for whether Dexter will reclaim his blood slides later on, only time will tell. However, if he manages to eliminate Prater in the final episodes of Dexter: Resurrection, it could make for a satisfying conclusion to this revival series.
