Marvel Boss Finally Answers If Harry Styles Will Return to the MCU

Kevin Feige, head of Marvel Studios, discussed if Harry Styles’ character from the film “Eternals” would reappear in the MCU following a lengthy hiatus. It’s been almost four years since Harry Styles made a surprising entrance into the MCU during the post-credit scene of “Eternals.” In this movie, he portrayed Eros, Thanos’ brother, alongside Patton Oswalt as his tipsy companion, Pip the Troll. Eros informed several space-faring Eternals that their comrades had been taken by Arishem, suggesting a potential sequel focusing on a rescue mission.

Regrettably, the movie Eternals didn’t resonate with viewers, which means that Arishem’s creations are currently stagnant at Marvel Studios, with no clear indication of when they might resurface. Neither a sequel nor a spin-off seems to be on the horizon to address the suspenseful cliffhanger. However, some Eternals have cropped up elsewhere; for example, Kingo appeared in What If…?, and an Apple Vision Pro VR experience featured Eros defending Thanos in a trial.

In a fascinating chat with GamesRadar+, Marvel’s Kevin Feige hinted at potential comebacks for long-awaited characters like Harry Styles’ Starfox (Eros), who have left us hanging in the Multiverse Saga. While he shared that there are definite plans for some, he also suggested openings for everyone else. However, intriguingly, he hinted that some may remain unseen, despite earlier hints, keeping fans guessing!

Everyone has access to opportunities, but it’s essential to find the right time to make use of them. Some opportunities might not come around again, while others may appear sooner rather than later.

He pointed out that certain individuals might push their limits as far as Tim Blake Nelson’s character, Samuel Sterns, did in the storyline, with his transformation into The Leader being hinted at 17 years before it was fully revealed in “Captain America: Brave New World”: (Note: the original uses “whose” instead of “with whose” to avoid repetition of “The Leader”, but both are grammatically correct.)

It could turn out to be similar for some individuals, spanning over a period of about 17 years, as it did for Tim Blake Nelson in his roles as Samuel Sterns in The Incredible Hulk (2008) and Captain America: Brave New World (2025). But, of course, we can never truly predict the future.

Regardless of Feige’s eagerness to reprise Styles and other actors, he made it clear that Marvel Studios will stick to their predetermined storylines, as they have done so in the past: “They won’t alter their plans just for this reason.

I adore it for reasons that encompass both the performers and their characters. It’s equally about our eagerness and anticipation to collaborate with these talented individuals, who were often key to making these projects happen. However, we never modify a storyline solely to include them just because they have previous roles.

Interestingly, although he only made a brief appearance in the post-credit scene, it was almost possible to see another deleted scene featuring him from this cosmic saga.

How & When Harry Styles Could Return to the MCU

However, since then, the studio has significantly scaled down its production.

Coordinating schedules for this many busy actors could prove to be quite logistically challenging, potentially making a sequel even more difficult to pull off.
