Beat ’em up fans have had a fantastic year, and it looks like it will end on a high note with the upcoming release of Marvel Cosmic Invasion next week. The game’s developers, Tribute Games and Dotemu, just released an introductory animation showing all 15 playable heroes facing off against familiar villains. You can watch it below!
The incredibly powerful Annihilus is unleashing a devastating attack across the universe with his Annihilation Wave. He’s gathered a team of villains – including Taskmaster, M.O.D.O.K., and Sauron – to help him. As a player, you choose two heroes from a lineup featuring Captain America, Iron Man, She-Hulk, Wolverine, Storm, Cosmic Ghost Rider, and others, and battle alongside them.
You might’ve noticed me mention “two” heroes – that’s because of this really cool thing in Marvel Cosmic Invasion called Cosmic Swap. Basically, I can switch between heroes mid-battle! It lets me bring them in to help with damage or extend my combos – it’s seriously awesome.
Get ready for Marvel Cosmic Invasion on December 1st! You can play it on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, Nintendo Switch, and the new Nintendo Switch 2. Plus, it’s available with Xbox Game Pass right from launch. You can enjoy the game by yourself – try the free demo! – or team up with friends in local or online co-op, and even play with people on different platforms thanks to crossplay.
