The upcoming comic book-style beat-’em-up, Marvel Cosmic Invasion, has been slowly revealing its playable characters over several months. However, with only two characters left to announce, leaks have unfortunately revealed the full roster ahead of schedule.
Spoilers: The unannounced characters are named below.
So, a demo dropped on PC recently, and naturally, people immediately started digging into the game files. They’ve been sharing everything they found online, which is pretty standard for these things. It’s always cool to see what secrets players uncover, even before the full release! Datamining is a crazy thing, honestly. You can find all sorts of hidden stuff.
So far, the lineup of officially revealed heroes looks like this:
- Beta Ray Bill
- Black Panther
- Captain America
- Cosmic Ghost Rider
- Nova
- Phyla-Vell
- Rocket Raccoon
- She-Hulk
- Silver Surfer
- Spider-Man
- Storm
- Venom
- Wolverine
The leaks now reveal that the final two characters completing the launch roster are:
- Iron Man
- Phoenix
Naturally, Iron Man requires little introduction; he’s become a hugely popular Marvel superhero, largely due to the films. As you might expect from his name, he wears a powerful metal suit filled with weapons to fight his foes.
Phoenix, also called Jean Grey, is a member of the X-Men and widely considered one of the strongest mutants in the Marvel Universe. She possesses both telepathy and telekinesis, and when connected to the Phoenix Force, she becomes incredibly powerful – practically all-powerful. The leak also seems to have signs that more characters coming to the game as DLC down the line.
We fully expect Marvel to formally introduce these heroes very soon. Marvel Cosmic Invasion is still planned to launch in 2025, and we’re quickly approaching that year – there are only a few months remaining.
